Who is the teacher, and what is the teaching? Imputing to the unchanging, yet hearing and teaching. Thus it is said, the first two lines show that these are not ultimately existent. In ultimate truth, letters do not exist, and it is on these non-existent letters that imputation is made, that is, listening and speaking after being established by conceptualization. The Sanskrit word for letter is Akshara, which can refer to both letters and immutable things, but here it is better to translate it as "letters do not exist." Imputation means saying that something that does not exist exists, and saying that something that is not is, like this there are many kinds of statements. But it does not only refer to these, generally it can also refer to the establishment and establishment through conceptualization. Merely abiding in the truth of convention and expounding the ultimate truth, and from that understanding the ultimate truth, thereby attaining the ultimate truth of cessation. As it is said in the Root Wisdom: Without relying on convention, the ultimate meaning cannot be taught, without understanding the ultimate meaning, Nirvana cannot be attained. Thus it is said. Fourth, if you say that we are very dependent on you, then now we will not forgive you either. If you are only good at refuting the views of others, and because it is unreasonable, you eliminate the nature of the self-established nature of others, then now only by relying on the reason for preventing self and other from arising, you can eliminate the conventional that you admit because it is unreasonable. If you are like someone who has been plundering the wealth accumulated through hard work since beginningless time, like giving food mixed with poison in the guise of a friend and then taking it away, we have taken away the true place where you cling to other dharmas, and instead of thanking us, you harm us. If you are happy and satisfied with this, then it is up to you, we will only become more noble and pure. Like this, how do you Yogācārins regard other dharmas as real, that is, self-established? As it is said in the Thirty Verses: Without seeing that, one cannot attain that, as it is said, just like what is realized by the wisdom of the noble ones, as one's own autonomy, like this you think that your own school exists, but we have not admitted that convention is also self-established. So what is it? It is the aggregates and so on.

These do not exist by their own nature, but because they are only known in the world, it is said that they exist, and I speak only from the perspective of the world. Here, there are two ways to establish conventional aggregates, etc., from the perspective of worldly terms: The Madhyamaka school itself establishes them as conventional, but does not establish them from the perspective of valid cognition of terms. Sometimes, due to necessity, aggregates, etc., are established as existing by their own nature, but this is not accepted by our own system, and is only accepted from the perspective of others, so the negation of these two is not the same. Accepting it in this way from the perspective of others is for the sake of the result, that is, because it is necessary, and that is also because it is a means for the disciples to turn away from other evil doctrines and gradually realize Suchness. Therefore, all the establishments in that treatise are made from the perspective of others, and it is not absolutely the case that they are not made from our own system, as can be known from the quotations cited here as proof. The quotation is from the Sutra on the Three Vows, which says: "The world argues with me, but I do not argue with the world. Whatever the world considers to exist, I also consider to exist. Whatever the world considers not to exist, I also consider not to exist." This is (the meaning of the scripture). This is the meaning of what is said in the Seventy Stanzas on Emptiness: "Dwelling or arising and ceasing, existing or not existing, inferior or equal or different, the Buddha speaks by the power of worldly convention, not by the power of truth." That is to say, all establishments such as existence or non-existence are established according to the power of the terms that are prevalent in the world. If so, how does the conventional treat those who, after an Arhat has abandoned the aggregates, enter the realm of peace without remainder? If all the conventional does not exist, then if the world also does not have this conventional, just like the peace without remainder, I would not say that this conventional exists in dependence on the "I" of worldly terms. Therefore, I accept the conventional by relying on other worldly terms, and not by independently accepting it without relying on worldly terms. First, it is only accepted by the world, therefore, it is possible to eliminate it by relying on whoever accepts it, so it should be eliminated, but not by relying on the Madhyamaka school.
