As for separation, the touch of an iron ball arises as extremely hot and burning. Thus, both the non-burning and burning touches must be the touch of the same iron ball. Since the body consciousness and measurement, the touch established by one is not established by the other, even if both are considered measurements, what is established by one measurement is not negated by the other. Similarly, in the place where a river flows, a part of that river, due to the past karma of the pretas, arises as pus and blood. And another part of the river, due to the past karma of humans, does not appear as pus and blood, but arises as drinking water and bathing water. Since both of these are parts of the same river, the meaning established by the eye consciousness measurement of the pretas and the meaning established by the eye consciousness measurement of humans are also different things. Therefore, how could the meaning established by one of these be the opposite meaning established by the other? Similarly, in the Suhrllekha it says, "For the pretas in summer, the moon is also hot, and in winter the sun is also cold." This also explains that due to the past karma of the pretas, the touch of moonlight in summer is extremely hot, and the touch of sunlight in winter is cold. However, it is not contradictory for humans to experience cold and heat from moonlight and sunlight. These two are not that one measurement measures the touch as hot, and the other measures it as cold, and both are considered the touch of the light of the same moon and sun. Therefore, it is also said to be "one thing." So, without carefully examining the meaning of the scriptures, if only a rough understanding arises, do not be too quick to be satisfied with it and draw conclusions. The second point is, if we briefly summarize the meaning of what was explained in detail earlier, just as knowable things have no inherent existence, so too the mind with the image of knowable things does not arise from its own nature. Please understand this principle and cherish it. This shows that there is no difference between knowable things and knowing things in terms of having or not having inherent existence. Just as if there is no comb, there is no consciousness appearing there, and if there is no object of attachment to illusions as horses and cows, there is no clinging consciousness arising there, etc., these are definitely not the views of this teacher. Praising transcendence of the world.
