Since all objects of focus are pacified and there is no object of focus, in this regard, the Buddha has not taught any Dharma of affliction or liberation to any deva or human in any realm of gods or humans. The two, cessation of elaboration and cessation, respectively refer to the fact that signs do not enter into nirvana, and that words and mind do not enter into the naturally pacified, or that afflictions and birth do not arise, or that afflictions and habitual tendencies are completely abandoned, or that objects of knowledge and knowledge are not focused upon. In the Secret Sutra of the Tathagata, it says: Peaceful intelligence, on the night when the Tathagata attained complete and perfect enlightenment of unsurpassed, complete and perfect enlightenment, and between the night when he will pass into complete nirvana without taking anything, the Tathagata did not even speak a single letter. He will not speak, and so on. The King of Samadhi Sutra says: All is without words, without letters, Primordially peaceful and without stain, Who knows the dharmas in this way, That is said to be the youthful Buddha. Thus it is said. If the Buddha did not teach the Dharma to anyone, how do these various terms of the scriptures appear? The teacher taught us the Dharma, this is born from the self-discriminating mind of those who are to be tamed, who are asleep in the sleep of ignorance, dreaming a dream. Thus, the Ornament of Light of Wisdom says: The Tathagata is without outflows, like an image of virtuous Dharma. Here there is no suchness and no Tathagata, all the worlds see only the image. Thus it is said. Therefore, teaching the Dharma for the sake of nirvana is only existent in the face of nominal consciousness, not existent in the face of those who realize the truth, so how can nirvana exist by its own nature? Secondly, that nirvana is shown to be not established by its own nature is also established by the profound words, and in order to proclaim that this treatise will proclaim all the reasons for showing that nirvana is without truth and like an illusion, only a small part of the definitive meaning sutra and the aspect of combination are shown, that is, in the edge of the Mahayana sutra, it says: There is no nirvana in nirvana, the protector of the world

For example, a knot in the sky is abandoned, which is untied by the sky itself. Just as when sewing with a long thread, the thread becomes knotted in the sky, it is as if it is freed from the sky itself. After the Bhagavan perfectly awakened and became a Buddha, he also showed that nirvana and so on are not truly established, but exist in the conventional truth of speech, and also showed that they are without self-nature. In the Brahma's Inquiry Sutra, it is also said: 'Bhagavan, if there are those who think that some dharmas arise or cease, then they are not followers of the Buddha. Bhagavan, if there are those who seek reality in samsara, then they cannot be liberated from samsara.' What is the reason for this? Bhagavan, what is called nirvana is the complete pacification of all characteristics and the cessation of all discriminations. Bhagavan, foolish people who have renounced the well-spoken Dharma-Vinaya and fallen into the views of non-Buddhists are like seeking sesame oil from sesame seeds and ghee from milk, seeking nirvana from reality. Bhagavan, those arrogant ones who seek nirvana in the completely pacified nirvana of all dharmas are non-Buddhists.' I say this. Bhagavan, those who have correctly entered the practice of yoga do not think that any dharma arises or ceases, nor do they seek to obtain or realize any dharma.' Thus it was said. Third, for the side of the self-nature of dharmas being established, it is unreasonable to abandon what is to be abandoned and obtain nirvana, etc., while for the side of emptiness of self-nature being established, all of these are reasonable, and this principle must be determined. The treatise called 'Examination of Nirvana,' which is the nature of twenty-four verses, is the explanation of the twenty-fifth chapter. Second, there are two aspects to the way in which samsara enters and returns from understanding or not understanding dependent origination: explaining the text of the treatise, summarizing the meaning and indicating the name. The first aspect is: 'What is dependent origination? It is said to be emptiness.' What is the meaning of dependent origination in this verse? Or, who arises through dependent origination? 'Seeing dependent origination, one sees suffering.' In this verse, it is said that seeing dependent origination can see the suchness of the Four Noble Truths, so what is this dependent origination?
