It is like saying that if one considers cause and effect as being established as different entities by their own nature in something like fire, then everything else will also become cause and effect. Similarly, for liberation that is considered to be established by its own nature in the distinction between objects and non-objects, if that is the case, then both of these will also become liberation, which is to equalize the head with the same reason. Furthermore, if nirvana is established by its own nature as both object and non-object, then nirvana will arise dependently on causes and conditions, not independently. Because both object and non-object, which are established by their own nature, arise dependently on causes and conditions. If nirvana exists as a non-object by its own nature, then it must be considered as the non-existence of which object, that is, the impermanence of the destruction of the object of samsara, and if that is the case, then it is the reason for arising dependently on the object. Furthermore, how can it be said that nirvana exists by its own nature as both object and non-object? If it were, then nirvana would become a conditioned phenomenon, not an unconditioned phenomenon. In this way, both the object and the non-object of the exhaustion of the object of samsara, which are established by their own nature, are conditioned phenomena. Because that is the destruction of the object, and it is said in the sutras that old age and death arise from the cause of birth, and the destruction of death also arises from the cause of birth. If one does not consider nirvana to be the nature of object and non-object, but considers it to possess both, then how can nirvana both have the two natures of object and non-object, and not have them? In this way, it is impossible for these two to exist by their own nature on one basis, because they are mutually contradictory, like light and darkness. If it is said that just as on that basis, there is both the object of a pot and the non-object of a felt, and the two are not contradictory, so on nirvana, there is both the non-object of samsara and the object of liberation, and the two are not contradictory, then, if object and non-object are established by their own characteristics, then it must be concluded that if one object exists, then all objects exist, and if one object does not exist, then all objects do not exist, and ultimately it must be admitted that on one basis, one object both exists and does not exist. Third, if nirvana is also an object

If, according to what is said, it is neither real nor unreal, but exists by its own nature, that is also unreasonable. If what is knowable is unreal, and real things are established by their own nature, then by negating these differences, some of the differences of real things and the differences of unreal things will also be established by their own nature. However, neither of these two can be established by its own nature, so negating one of them, the other will not be established by its own nature either. For example, a rabbit and horns cannot exist, so negating rabbit horns, and a barren woman and a son cannot exist, so negating the son of a barren woman is also impossible. Furthermore, if Nirvana is established by its own nature as being neither real nor unreal, then who would perceive and clarify such a Nirvana, saying that it exists by its own nature as being neither real nor unreal? If it exists at the time of Nirvana without remainder, then at that time there will be a self. But you do not want this, because you do not want a self without the aggregates of appropriation, and you want the continuum of the aggregates to be cut off at the time of Nirvana without remainder. If at that time there is no apprehending agent, then who will know that Nirvana exists in such a nature? If it is said that it is determined by those who dwell in samsara, then is it determined by consciousness or by wisdom? The former is unreasonable, because consciousness is focused on the characteristics of elaboration, and in the face of directly realizing Nirvana, there is not even a slight characteristic of elaboration. And here, the determination is in the context of direct realization. If one wants to determine it with the wisdom that directly realizes the meaning of suchness, that is also unreasonable. Because that wisdom is established by its own nature, and is in the same taste with the emptiness of emptiness, therefore it is not self-existent. Therefore, it will not determine a Nirvana that exists by its own nature, because wisdom is beyond all characteristics of elaboration, and if one grasps Nirvana as existing by its own nature, that is the bondage of clinging to signs. Here, the division of consciousness and wisdom into two is made according to whether the appearance of elaboration has ceased or not.
