If one thinks that by exhausting these elaborations, one will attain nirvana, then, if self-nature exists before nirvana, then it cannot be exhausted later. Therefore, those who desire liberation should abandon this idea. Because (the following) will explain what the end of nirvana is, etc. Moreover, in the Samadhiraja Sutra it is said: "In nirvana, all dharmas are truly non-existent. Whatever dharma is not there, those are also completely non-existent. To have thoughts of existence and non-existence, and to act in this way, suffering will not cease." Its meaning is that in the realm of nirvana without remainder, one is separated from the dharmas of the skandhas, which have the characteristics of arising from karma, afflictions, and their results. All opponents admit that these dharmas do not exist. The sutra says that the dharmas that do not exist there never exist, which shows that even in samsara, they are not truly existent. So, how does one transmigrate? Just as those with cataracts see illusions such as hairs, those who are deluded by the inverted thoughts of children clinging to self and other believe these to be real, which is what the last two lines say. Among them, the belief in existence is held by the Lokayata, Vaisheshika, and Samkhya schools, up to the Vaibhashikas; the belief in non-existence is held by the naked ascetics, annihilationists, non-existent and non-non-existentists, and those who believe that there is a substance other than the skandhas, as well as those who believe that the completely imputed nature does not exist, while the other two natures exist by their own nature. If the meaning of the first line is that in the realm of nirvana without remainder, the dharmas of suffering and its origin do not exist, then, when the Hinayana Arhats abandon the life-sustaining activity, they believe that the continuum of consciousness is cut off. Although they say this, according to their own school, they will eventually attain Buddhahood. So, how do they view the existence or non-existence of the remainder of the skandhas in their nirvana? In the commentary on the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning, it says: The sutra says, "Completely abandoning this skandha, definitely abandoning it, becoming pure, exhausted, free from attachment, cessation, pacification, extinguished, not connecting the boundaries of other sufferings, not arising, this is peace, this is excellent, that is, completely abandoning all skandhas, craving is exhausted, free from attachment, cessation, nirvana."

Sapo said that the cessation of the aggregates is Nirvana. Thus, the meaning of the cessation of the aggregates is that, preventing the explanation of the cessation of one part of the aggregates of afflictions as the cessation of the aggregates, it must be the complete cessation of the aggregates of suffering to be considered the cessation of the aggregates. If the continuity of the aggregates is ceased, then when the aggregates are not ceased, there is no obtainable Nirvana, and when the aggregates are ceased, there is no obtainer, thus pointing out the fault that obtaining Nirvana is impossible. If one sees that the nature of suffering does not arise, then at that time, since that arising is not observed, that suffering will only be cessation. Therefore, when one directly sees that all five aggregates do not arise by nature, at that time, there are no aggregates, which is called completely abandoning these aggregates. Therefore, when the Lesser Vehicle abandons by ceasing afflictions, the cessation in which the appearance of the aggregates completely disappears in the state of equanimity is their Nirvana without remainder, and when the appearance has not disappeared in the subsequent attainment, this is their Nirvana with remainder. The third part has three points: refuting that Nirvana is established in the four extremes; showing that the one who realizes Nirvana is not established in the four extremes; and explaining the meaning of establishment through this. The first part has three points: refuting that Nirvana exists in the respective extremes of existence and non-existence of things; refuting existence in the extreme of both; refuting existence in the extreme of neither. The first point has four points: refuting that Nirvana exists in the extreme of existence of things; refuting existence in the extreme of non-existence of things; where should Nirvana, which has abandoned the two extremes, be established; the way of condemning by showing the view of clinging to the two extremes. The first point is: the Vaibhashikas think that Nirvana is the obstacle that prevents the continuity of karma, afflictions, and future births, just like a dam that prevents the flow of water, so it is a thing, because non-things cannot function. If the Sutra says, the craving combined with the desire for joy is exhausted, and the cessation of being separated from desire, that is Nirvana. And it says, just like a candle is extinguished, his mind is liberated. Therefore, the extinguishing of a candle and the exhaustion of afflictions are only non-things, so they should not be things. If it is said like this, because it says the exhaustion of craving, so the exhaustion of craving
