is holding, because there is no change in self-nature. Third, if the four fruits and obtaining them do not exist, then the four who abide in the fruit and enter for the sake of the fruit also do not exist. If the four pairs of persons and the eight types of individuals do not exist, then the Sangha Jewel will not exist, and because the noble truths do not exist, the Dharma Jewel will also not exist. If the Dharma and Sangha Jewels do not exist, then how would the Buddha exist? It would not exist. These should be understood as previously explained. If, according to your view, the so-called Buddha exists by self-nature, then it would not rely on Bodhi, that is, all-knowing wisdom, because: Self-nature is originally uncreated, It does not depend on others. As it is said. Similarly, your Bodhi all-knowing wisdom would also not rely on the Buddha, that is, it would become without support, because it is established by self-nature. Furthermore, according to your view, before becoming a Buddha, the person who exists by self-nature in the nature of non-Buddha, even if he strives in the bodhisattva conduct in order to obtain unsurpassed Bodhi, he will not attain Bodhi, because such self-nature will never change. Fourth, moreover, if it is admitted that it is established by self-nature, then no person will ever perform good deeds and non-deeds, because what is there to do for the non-emptiness that exists by self-nature? Because for what exists by self-nature, acting is unreasonable. Furthermore, if it is said that the fruit exists by self-nature, then even if good deeds and non-deeds are not done, you will have the desirable and undesirable fruits caused by those two. In that case, doing two actions for those fruits would become meaningless, therefore, you would not have the two fruits caused by the causes of good deeds and non-deeds without doing two actions. If you have the two fruits caused by the causes of good deeds and non-deeds, then why are those two fruits not emptiness established by self-nature? Because the dependent origination arising from good deeds and non-deeds

Because it is interdependent, it is like an image. Fifth, to say that things are established by their own nature is to harm the emptiness of dependent origination. If that is done, then worldly terms such as "go, do, come, sit," etc., will all be harmed. Furthermore, if things are established by their own nature and harm emptiness, then that which is established by its own nature exists even without being made, so no one will do anything. That which is unmade, that is, not being done, will also become doable, and that which does nothing will also become the doer, which is also unreasonable, so things are not established by their own nature and not empty. Furthermore, if dharmas exist by their own nature, then beings will not be born or cease, because self-nature is not artificial and will never change. If there is no birth and no cessation, then beings will exist permanently, and because they do not depend on causes and conditions, beings will be separated from various states. As the Blessed One said: If there is a little non-emptiness, the Victorious One will not, speak any unchanging prophecy. Each thing remains permanent, it does not increase and does not completely diminish. Also, in the Elephant Strength Sutra, it is said: If dharmas have some self-nature, the Victorious One and the Hearers will know it. Permanent dharmas will not pass into nirvana, the wise will never be without elaboration. Thus, this sutra is very clear in showing the meaning of emptiness and dependent origination. Sixth, if self-nature is established, therefore there is no emptiness, then it is impossible to obtain the result later if it was not obtained before; it is impossible to complete the cessation of suffering later if the cessation of suffering was not completed before; it is impossible to abandon all karma and afflictions later if they were not abandoned before. Therefore, all supramundane terms are also unreasonable. Fourth, because if one admits that things are established by their own nature, then all establishments are unreasonable. Therefore, any yogi who has the characteristic of emptiness and dependent origination

Then, seeing this is seeing the truth of the four noble truths: suffering, origin, cessation, and path. As it is said in the Sutra of Adornment of Holy Contemplation: "World Honored One, how should one comprehend the four noble truths?" The World Honored One said: "Manjushri, whoever sees all conditioned phenomena as unborn, he has fully understood suffering. Whoever sees all dharmas as without arising, he has abandoned the origin. Whoever sees all dharmas as ultimately extinguished, he has realized cessation. Whoever sees all dharmas as extremely unborn, he has cultivated the path. Manjushri, whoever sees the four noble truths in this way, then these dharmas are virtuous, these dharmas are non-virtuous, these dharmas are to be abandoned, these dharmas are to be realized. Suffering should be fully understood, origin should be abandoned, cessation should be realized, the path should be cultivated. He does not think, he does not separately think. Because he has not seen any dharma to be thought about. Those ordinary people, when realizing these dharmas, will generate attachment, will generate hatred, will generate delusion. He neither takes nor abandons any dharma, and thus neither taking nor abandoning, his mind will not be attached to the three realms. He sees all three realms as unborn, like illusion, like a dream, like an echo. Because he sees all dharmas as being of such nature, he will be separated from attachment and anger towards all sentient beings. Why? Because he has not seen any dharma that can generate attachment and anger. His mind is equal to the sky, therefore he does not truly see the Buddha, nor does he truly see the Dharma, nor does he truly see the Sangha, and because he sees all dharmas as emptiness, therefore he does not generate doubt towards any dharma. Because there is no doubt, there will be no grasping. Because there is no grasping, one will be completely extinguished without grasping." Thus it is said. Second, the Madhyamikas consider the dharmas of samsara and nirvana
