If it is falsely said that a pot and cloth are different, why not say that a sprout is also different? In response to this, just as ordinary people consider a pot and cloth to be different, the reason why a sprout is not considered different is that innate wisdom considers the pot and cloth to be distinct, each established by its own nature, so they are considered different, and that is its meaning. But this does not mean that in conventional truth, a pot and cloth are different, while a sprout is not different. Regarding the cause and effect of proximate causes, innate wisdom does not consider them to be distinct, each established by its own nature, the reason for which has been explained before. A pot and cloth established by their own nature do not exist even in conventional truth, but merely the aspect of "different" exists in conventional truth. Because a pot is different from cloth, this is said in dependent origination, and both commentaries also said that it exists in conventional truth. Regarding the six consciousnesses and the six objects and six faculties such as eye and form, the reason for the "non-difference" established by its own nature is that the main meaning is to negate the encounter established by its own nature. The sign of this is: if "the other is other than the other," and "that which is relied upon is that which is," etc., are established, therefore the six consciousnesses are different from the objects and faculties, and this must be shown in dependent origination, so the causes and effects are also merely "different." If it is not so, then they are neither one nor different, so it will not be accomplished. If it is merely existence, one and different are not directly contradictory, then for truly existent things, it is also impossible to determine whether it is truly "one" or "many." Then, in conventional truth, will there be "other-birth"? In response to this, the Commentary on Entering the Middle Way says that according to one's own system, the sutras and commentaries are explained by the classification of the three natures, so in conventional truth, "otherness" must also be admitted, but this is not the same as "other-birth." The meaning and term of wanting "other-birth" is that the proponents of tenets examine whether the result arises from itself or from another. But they are not examining whether the result arises merely from itself and another, but examining whether it is different by its own nature, and only for the arising that is different by its own nature do they use the term "other-birth." The term "otherness" is to dispel the idea that the result arises autonomously.

It is because it is made only under the control of causes and conditions, and only other, because it is not pervaded by the other that is established by its own nature. The second case is: If another thing mixes with another thing and other concepts arise, even if it is not different from that thing by its own nature, it cannot be said that way, because there is a "otherness" that is both a generality and a particularity, and the thing to which it belongs, even if it does not depend on other things, can be called "other", therefore, those who eat crumbs say that we do not have the fault as you said. Here, the generality of "otherness", when it appears to be established as other, does not actually exist in the other, because there is no need to examine other "otherness" for it, because examining it is to make it established as other, but it has already been established as other. Moreover, for the one who is not other, there is no other generality of "otherness", because according to your view, there is one that contradicts other "otherness". Since there is no third person who is neither one nor other, the generality of "otherness" has no other meaning in anything. If it is said that even if the generality of "otherness" is not prohibited, but "other" exists temporarily, and before there is no "otherness", there is no "other", therefore the generality of "otherness" also exists, then, if the generality of "otherness" does not exist as mentioned above, then "other" or "itself" is not self-existent. Buddhapālita made two different explanations for that verse, which are different from the previous one. The second case is: If it is said that although it has been explained that there is no other in seeing etc., but the sutra says "touch is the aggregation of three", therefore, contact is self-existent, therefore seeing etc. are self-existent, then, here, if there is contact self-existent in seeing etc., then are those seeing etc. one or different in their own nature? If it is the former, then the dharma has no contact with itself, just as pure milk that does not depend on water will not be called in contact with water. The other who is different in his own nature and the other will not be in contact with each other, just as milk separated from water will not be called in contact with water. The second case is: If the two mix into one time,
