Even if there is a Dharma more excellent than this, I say that it is also like an illusion, like a dream. As it is also said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: 'The ultimate truth is like a dream, and Nirvana is also like a dream. Whoever, being wise, enters into it in this way, is said to be the supreme discipline of the mind.' And: 'The truth of cessation is like a dream, and Nirvana is also of the nature of a dream. The Bodhisattva who enters into speech in this way, is said to be the supreme discipline of speech.' Thus, if one contemplates the meaning of selflessness, it is the discipline of the mind; if one speaks of it in speech, it is the supreme discipline of speech. Discipline is the discipline of abandoning what should be abandoned, and therefore it is thought that it uproots all faults. Second, there are two: refuting the inherent existence of bondage and liberation in common; refuting them separately. The first is: If you refute both samsara and nirvana, but bondage and liberation exist inherently, therefore do all things exist inherently? If you assert this, then here, the afflictions such as desire bind beings, making them without freedom, and those ordinary beings bound by them do not transcend the three realms. If you establish it in this way, then the bondage that is considered to be the binding of desire and so on is permanent. Because it is unreasonable, briefly, the momentary phenomena of conditioned things, which are of the nature of arising and ceasing, are not bound, therefore bondage does not exist inherently, because permanence and momentariness are separate, it is unreasonable as before. Their becoming liberated also does not exist inherently, the reason is as before. As before, in the order in which bondage and liberation are not appropriate for conditioned things, so also sentient beings are not bound and do not become liberated. Or also in the order in which it is said to be permanent and impermanent, not revolving and not transcending. Second, there are two: refuting the inherent existence of bondage; refuting the inherent existence of liberation. The first is: If you refute bondage and liberation in conditioned things and sentient beings, but the close grasping of desire and so on becomes bondage, therefore bondage also exists inherently? If close grasping inherently exists as bondage, then it does not go beyond two. The two are, if close grasping is combined with the bondage of desire and so on, then it does not become bondage, that is, the nature of bondage

It does not exist. If it exists, then it needs another binding factor, and then binding again is meaningless. If the bound and the binder are self-established, then the act of binding, "this is bound," and the act of binding, "with this it is bound," must be two different entities. What has already been bound needs to be bound again, which is similar to the reasoning explained in the eighth chapter. What is not close is also not bound, because it is free from binding, like the Thus-Gone One. In that case, what kind of state is bound? It does not change. Furthermore, just as chains and other binding objects exist before binding the bound, if before the bound, binding, attachment, etc., have been established, then it depends on the agent or the person being bound, which also does not exist, because without a basis, attachment, etc., cannot be established; and if the binding has been established beforehand, then later it does not need to be related to the bound; and for the bound that is inherently established as other than the binder, there is no need to bind again. The remaining refutation of this is explained by changing the arguments of gone, not gone, and preventing walking. That is to say, what is temporarily bound is not bound, and so on. The second point is: If you think that although you have prevented binding, liberation exists, and without being bound there is no liberation, so binding also exists. If liberation is self-existent, then where does it exist? Temporarily, for the bound, there is no liberation, because liberation is not self-existent, because it is bound. If the previously bound person relies on the means of cultivating the path and later attains liberation, therefore liberation is self-existent for the bound person itself, then it will only become "the bound person will become liberated." If it is thought that the previously bound thing is said to be close to the present time of liberation at a later time, then even if liberation exists in its own nature and it is allowed to be close to it, when binding is prevented and it is desired to prove that liberation does not exist in its own nature, the time when liberation exists in its own nature will not be close to the present. Moreover, for a person who is not bound by afflictions, liberation will not be self-existent, because if he himself is liberated, then what does he need to be liberated again? He needs to be again
