If it is thought that, just as seeing with multiple things, it is not contradictory for one traveler to have two acts of walking. In response to this, the 'Clear Words' says: It is not so, because it is the author of ability, not the substance. Because the actions are different, the achiever's ability is also necessarily different, because the act of sitting does not make one a speaker. Thus it is said. Its meaning is that the reason why this and the previous two are not the same is that the previous act is the author of the substance or person. If there are two acts of placing the right foot at the same time, then one two-legged person cannot do it, so two people are needed. And when the subsequent acts of speaking, etc., occur simultaneously, it is the author of the ability of the tongue, etc. Even if there are multiple authors of ability at the same time, it is not necessary for multiple people to exist at the same time. If even so, because it is a substance or one person, one author produces multiple actions, if it is thought like this. Just as multiple acts of speaking, etc., have occurred, there are also multiple authors of its ability, so it is not because of that that one author produces multiple actions. Even if the author of the substance or person produces multiple actions, but here it is not the author of the person, so it is not relative to it that one author produces multiple actions. Furthermore, because the author of two similar actions, such as placing two right feet at the same time, has not been seen, one traveler does not have two walks, it is also said. Some commentators say that if according to the former, it is impossible to deny that the substance of one person of the traveler has two acts of walking, so it is good according to the latter. This is refuting the great chariot without understanding the way in which two acts of walking become two travelers, and the way in which it is not the author of the substance but the ability. In that case, temporarily leaving, etc., prevents the act of walking on the road to the place to go. The second part has three points: denying that the traveler exists in the place where walking depends; generally denying walking to the three types of people; specifically denying walking to the traveler. The first point is: if the act of walking on the road to the place to go is unreasonable, but because it is said that Deva is walking, therefore the traveler Deva

Therefore, the activity of going is observed. Therefore, going is essentially existent, because there is a goer as the basis. If the goer does not exist, i.e., is excluded, then the existence of going is not reasonable, because it has been said before, "Because there is no goer." If that is the case, then what is the going that depends on the goer? It is said that the activity engaged in by the goer cannot be said to be a different thing from the goer, but it is said that the going that possesses some kind of going, which is called the goer, exists. When examining, if there is going that is different from the goer, then how can the activity of going, which possesses its own characteristics, become the reason for the existence of the goer? It will not. This shows that if the activity of going exists in its own way, then it is necessary to find an essence different from the goer. If that is the case, then it is possible to negate the dependence on the goer, thus becoming going without a goer, because this has been negated before, so the goer as its basis does not exist, because the dependent going does not exist, so the goer as the basis of the activity is negated. The second case is: if going exists essentially, therefore through it, the person associated with it is called a goer. If there is no going, it will not be said that the one associated with it, Devadatta, is a goer, just as without a pillar, it will not be called having a pillar. If the meaning of "going" exists in its own way, then it will not go beyond three cases, and also as a goer, it will not go, which will be explained later. For the time being, first negate the goer, and then show the order of negating other things. What is not a goer is also not going, because it is separated from the activity of going. Apart from the goer and the non-goer, what third person will go? It will not, because that is impossible. The third case is: even if things other than the non-goer and the neither-goer do not go, but it is thought that the goer goes. When one Devadatta goes, the activity of going is not only one, and it also exists in the meaning of the word "going," and if the activity of going does not exist in the meaning of the word, then the statement "goer" is not reasonable, in which case, for the time being, the meaning of "goer goes" is its own.
