It is not wasted. In samsara, black and white karmic results will also ripen. It is not permanent, nor will it be annihilated; there is no accumulation of karma, nor is there any place to abide. Having done it, one will not touch it; what is done by others will not be felt. There is no transfer, nor will there be a return. It is not that everything exists, nor is it that everything does not exist. Here, entering the place of views of existence and non-existence is not pure. Thus it is said. The phrase "karma done" is explained by "samsara." Since there is no abiding until the fruit is produced, it prevents permanence. The word "also" shows that what is done is not wasted, thus preventing annihilation. The word "others" prevents encountering what has not been done. There is no return, which means that after the karmic result has ripened, it will not be produced again. Because it is not established by its own nature, but exists nominally, it is neither existence nor non-existence. In this world, entering the extreme of existence and non-existence is not pure, that is, not liberation. The Ratnakuta Sutra also says: Where do the fortunate ones go, and from where do they come? They said: Venerable Subhuti, the Blessed One has taught the Dharma that there is nowhere to go and nowhere to come from. Thus it is said. Thus, the reasoning of this chapter, like all the scriptures that show that individuals and phenomena have no coming and going, is the eye of view. Therefore, one must first become proficient in the reasoning of this chapter, and then use it to explain the meaning of all those scriptures. Third, regarding who is the goer, what is the place to be gone to, and the act of going there, one must not only recognize that these exist by nominal designation, but also recognize the clinging that grasps them as existing by their own nature. Then, when searching for whether they exist as they are grasped, one must know that the reasoning previously stated will harm this existence in many ways. That is, by examining in various ways and refuting with reasoning, it is for the purpose of making people realize that for things that exist by their own nature, any establishment of the agent and the action is unreasonable, not for the purpose of showing that there is no coming and going, etc. Having realized this, all the nominal designations of coming and going, etc., which were originally directed towards things that exist by their own nature, will shift, and only the agent and the action will be established on emptiness of self-nature.

It is necessary to have a definite conviction. This is because the agent and the action should understand the remaining things. As it is said in the "Clear Explanation of Words": It should be understood that the goer and the going are the very establishment of mutual dependence, having blocked existence by their own nature. It is as it is said. Moreover, the goer depends on the going, and the going itself also depends on the goer. Other than arising from dependence, the cause of accomplishment is not seen. This is the meaning of the application. First, for the gross coming and going that has become manifest, and then for those who come here from the previous world and go from here to the other side, it should also be applied to ascertain the manner of no self-nature. Then, for things that are subject to Dharma, one should also study by moving the reasoning that one does not come from anywhere at the time of birth, and does not go anywhere at the time of cessation, and one should do the same for all other actions and agents. By this, the wisdom that examines the thusness will become extremely vast, and all the conduct of going, walking, lying down, and sitting will also appear like illusions. The examination of going and coming is the explanation of the second chapter, which is the essence of twenty-five verses. Second, there are five divisions for explaining the two selflessnesses in detail: explaining Dharma and individuals separately, showing that things are empty by their very nature, the way to enter the thusness of selflessness, showing that time is empty by its very nature, and showing that the continuum of existence is empty by its very nature. First, there are two divisions: explaining the selflessness of Dharma, and explaining the selflessness of individuals. First, there are two divisions: explaining the selflessness of the three Dharmas, and refuting the proof that there is self. First, there are three divisions: refuting the self of Dharma in the sense bases, refuting the self of Dharma in the aggregates, and refuting the self of Dharma in the elements. First, there are three divisions: explaining the treatise of the treatise, combining it with the meaning of the scriptures, summarizing the meaning and showing the name. First, there are two divisions: establishing the former position and refuting it. The first is: Here it is said that if the three, such as going and coming, do not exist, then one must also consider the seers, etc., mentioned in the scriptures, and one must admit them, because it is said in the Abhidharma: the seer, the hearer, the smeller, the taster.
