Since the nominalist pramana is not considered to be established by reason. Chandrakirti's view also holds that the meaning of existence is not established by reason, because reason can only find one of the judgments about whether that thing exists or does not exist, or whether it is or is not. If reason finds that it exists, it will become truly established. It is also not considered that self-awareness can be indirectly established. So how is it established? Here, the definition of pramana as non-deceptive is understood as it is established in the world. In the world, without distinguishing between new deception and non-deception, it is generally considered that non-deception is pramana. Therefore, the decisive consciousnesses led by non-conceptual direct perception are also clearly considered to be pramana. Therefore, there is also direct perception in the pramana of conceptualization, because the object of decisive consciousness is considered to be manifest, because it is not deceptive to the manifest. After the absence of inherent existence is established as the basis of difference, there is no judgment on the meaning and terms of existence or non-existence, so it is not established by reasoning. Without relying on reasoning, it can also cut off the superimposition of holding the absence of inherent existence as non-existent, so the existence of the absence of inherent existence is manifest. Although existence is manifest and the absence of inherent existence is hidden, the absence of inherent existence established by pramana is now manifest. For example, momentariness is hidden, sound and blue are manifest, but both are hidden for momentariness. Therefore, the mind of the nominalist who is certain of existence is not deceptive to the manifest, so it is direct perception. Through this, for understanding the absence of inherent existence of sprouts etc. by reason, the appearance of sprouts appears in the way of the absence of inherent existence, it should also be known by what it is established. Second, here, if the absence of inherent existence of sprouts etc. is established by reason, then it will eventually be regarded as being able to withstand the test of ultimate analytical reason, so some people say that the absence of true entity is truly established. Others distinguish the difference between reason and inference pramana, saying that the former has no object and the latter has an object. Both of these statements are unreasonable. In this way, judging whether sprouts etc. exist truly, just like the way of innate clinging to true existence mentioned before, is judging existence or non-existence, rather than being able to withstand the test of ultimate analytical reason.

And it is not judged by whether or not it is established by reason. Therefore, merely acknowledging that something is established by reason does not mean acknowledging the meaning of being truly established. If the meaning of truth is not acknowledged, but it is established by reason, then it must ultimately be established by the ultimate reasoning, because if reason cannot measure it, it contradicts being established by it. If one thinks that if reason can measure it, then it will become true, this is also considering that being measurable by reason and being established by it are the same meaning, so in the end, it will be considered that being established by reason itself is the meaning of truth, so it is not understood when the boundary of reaching true establishment will be reached. Therefore, it is easy to understand the unreasonableness of this by applying the method of refuting the clinging to reality as mentioned before. Previously, when searching for whether sprouts and so on exist as true, the non-existence of truth was found by reason, so when searching again for whether the non-existence of truth exists as true, even if the non-existence of truth is not found, it will not change because of that. Previously, when searching for whether sprouts and so on can be measured by the ultimate reasoning, what can be measured was not found, and when searching again for whether the non-existence of what can be measured itself can be measured, the same thing is not found, so what is found by reason and what can be measured by it are not the same. Therefore, to understand the ultimate limit of how much establishment is needed to reach true establishment, it is necessary to eliminate this doubt by showing that what is to be proven and what is to be measured are both non-affirming negations. If the idea that reason establishes the existence of non-inherent existence is not eliminated, then it will not be possible to prove that what is to be measured is a non-affirming negation. In the Lamp of Wisdom, it is said that if the commitment of the four extremes of birth and death is not taken as a non-affirming negation, but as a non-negation, then it contradicts the statement in the Mother Sutra that "if one practices the non-birth and non-death of form, one will not practice the Perfection of Wisdom." In the Compendium, it is also said: "Even if one thinks that the aggregates are empty, the Bodhisattva is practicing on the characteristics, not abiding in non-birth." There are many other similar statements, all of which are when reason clings to selflessness and emptiness of inherent existence, without grasping the imputation to be negated, but abandoning other dharmas such as selflessness other than that.
