is also termed as healing. When I say, "My hand hurts and then it's healed," isn't the same hand considered both "me" and "mine"? This indicates a lack of understanding of the meaning of worldly terms. Its meaning is that the hand hurting and healing refers to me hurting and healing, not that the hand is me. Because the hand is not considered "me." Lhasbyin, without distinguishing between the past and future "me," considers "me" as the object of clinging, which is merely the "me" that has existed since beginningless time. Therefore, the various "me" of each being taken at the time of taking bodies as gods, etc., are each a particular aspect of the previous "me." Lhasbyin clings to the "me" that is separated in each birth as "me," which is just one aspect of each life. Just like the object's "me," the subject's clinging to "I" should also be understood as having both separate and non-separate ways of clinging. If one searches for the actual referent of such a "me" that is merely a name, one finds nothing anywhere. Therefore, it is not possible to accumulate karma and experience the results, etc. If you say that, then when searching for the actual referent of forms, etc., which are not merely names, just like searching for "me," one cannot find anything in their own parts that is different or the same in essence, so they will not be able to function. Although when searching in this way, one cannot find the nominally existent "me" and the substantially existent, the two are not the same, because not finding does not negate both. The substantially existent can be analyzed by reason, but the nominally existent cannot. The second point is that even if "me" is negated in this way, views, etc., are still inherently existent because they have not been negated. If they exist, then since there is no connection between views, etc., and things like vases that do not have the nature of "me," then what "me" is inherently existent in relation to them? If it is said that seeing and hearing, etc., and feelings, etc., are also objects taken by a taker, then when it is shown that the taker itself is not inherently existent, hasn't it been clearly shown that seeing, etc., are also not inherently existent? Therefore, since the object taken by seeing, etc., is not inherently existent, the taker

My self is also non-existent in its own nature. Thirdly, here, the opponent thinks that the person who is without self-nature is negated, which is not just a negation of what is to be refuted, but an establishment of a non-negation, and asks: Are you sure that there is no self? Who said that? Didn't you immediately refute that because there is no view, etc., there is no self? Although it was said like that, the meaning here is not as you understand it, we do not approve. Like this, you think that I am self-existent, and I, in order to counteract what you are attached to, say that I am not self-existent, this is just a word of refutation, just refuting what is to be refuted, other than that, the self-nature of my self here does not exist, it is not inferred by reason, because both attachment to existence and non-existence must be abandoned. Such reasonings are to distinguish the difference between existence negation and non-negation, and it is not a characteristic of the consequentialist school, it has been explained many times before. Therefore, regarding the person, as it is said in the 《Hundred Treatises》: What is your self, it is not my self. Therefore, it is not certain that it is not me. For impermanent things, won't there be discriminations? It should be understood like this. Its meaning is that if I exist by my own nature, then just as one person thinks that it is "I", everyone must think like that, but that self that gives rise to your ego-grasping, I will not give rise to ego-grasping. Therefore, this reason shows that I am not established by self-nature, because it is not certain that everyone will give rise to ego-grasping. If there is no self, then what will this ego-grasping become? Apart from the impermanent aggregates, there is no other object of ego-grasping, and the aggregates themselves are not suitable as the object of ego-grasping, so it is just the discriminating attachment of "I" to the self that is imputed based on the impermanent aggregates. Like this, I do not exist by my own nature, nor is it just that there is no dependence and it is imputed, this reason is also shown by "where there is view", etc. If I am completely observed, then I do not exist before the view, etc., because it will become without the cause of establishing a person as a person. Now, that is, simultaneously with the view, etc., it is also non-existent by self-nature, because each self-nature
