In any way, it is not reasonable. If it is not reasonable, then how can it be self-existent as the characteristic of conditioned phenomena? Secondly, if you analyze in that way, then according to your view, destruction is also unreasonable. Therefore, if something is a fault for both, then it should not be used to refute the other, if you think so. In response to this, the Madhyamaka says that because the Madhyamaka accepts worldly terms, the fault applied to the other party is not the same as oneself. The way to distinguish worldly terms is that things themselves are without inherent existence, but they are still the way of names for those fools who cling to things as true. The way to proceed is that only the name "destruction" is established, but apart from that, one does not search for where the place of establishment exists in the past or future, etc. Without examining and searching for what has already been established, one uses the name of destruction for what has already been established. That is to say, worldly things, like illusions, etc., do not have the reason or rational proof to examine whether they are truly established, and because the darkness of ignorance obscures the eye of wisdom, they are established in the world, so fools only acknowledge things that are established in mutual dependence. Therefore, if there is something to be produced, there is a producer; if there is a producer, there is something to be produced; if there is cessation, there is something to be ceased, that is, the cause of cessation; if there is something to be ceased, that is, the cause of cessation, there is cessation. Similarly, the Madhyamaka also acknowledges this, but will not analyze and then establish destruction, etc. on the basis of finding it. In short, if things are analyzed as mentioned earlier, then neither birth, destruction, nor abiding will be found, which is the same for us, but that does not refute the birth and destruction, etc. that we acknowledge, because we do not think that birth and destruction, etc. are analyzable as mentioned earlier, and we do not think that whatever is acknowledged must be analyzable, nor do we think that it is self-existent. Therefore, for what neither acknowledges analyzability nor its pervasion, and is not found after analyzing with reason, how can that become a harm? Because there is only birth, destruction, and abiding, it is not necessary to search for it with reason. But you

Also, it is believed that destruction and the like can be examined, and its pervasiveness is also acknowledged. Therefore, if it is not found when examined as before, it is a harm, because if it exists as they acknowledge, then these reasons should be able to find it, but they have not been found. In the "Clear Words," as a reason why the fault of refuting the other party is not the same on oneself, it is recorded that one does not admit that it can be examined, and admits that one uses worldly terms without examination. If one answers in that way, holding that the reasoning that examines prevents all arising, ceasing, and abiding, and then establishes acceptance, then seeing that all the faults established on the other party enter equally, one should not say that one has no tenet. This needs to be understood as applying to all debates, that is, the boundary is distinguished by how much is prevented, and distinguishing between what cannot be examined by reason and what is harmed by reason depends on this. The third has two: arising from the "Clear Words" and arising from the commentary on the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning." The first is: Here, the commentary says: If one admits that destruction has no cause and speaks of conditioned phenomena as momentary, then because there is no cause, there is no destruction. How can things be established as conditioned phenomena that are separate from the moment and destruction? Therefore, all of these are unreasonable, thus preventing it. To this, those who say that destruction has no cause believe that the destruction that does not remain in the second moment from the time of its own establishment arises from the cause of the thing itself, so they believe that there is no cause that arises later other than that cause; and the destruction in the second moment is unreal, so they say that there is no cause at all. Therefore, for those who say that destruction has no cause, things do not have momentary destruction, so they cannot be established as conditioned phenomena, and it is shown that it is unreasonable to say that conditioned phenomena are momentary. How do you think this is reasonable? To this, it will be said below that whether the two, destruction and non-destruction, are produced by cause is the same. If there is no cause for not staying in the second moment, then there must also be no cause for not staying in the second moment, so there will be no momentariness. If that is the case, then it cannot be established as conditioned phenomena, and it is also unreasonable to say that conditioned phenomena are momentary. That is prevented by reason, and the prevention by scripture is: old age and death are caused by the conditions of birth, and the characteristics of conditioned phenomena are all included in the aggregates of formation, as it is said.
