What is said is also reasonable, because by relying on the antidote uninterrupted path, the liberation path of abandoning its object of abandonment arises. If it is not like that, if it is established as abandoned only because there is no object of abandonment at the time of the path, then when the path of joining becomes manifest, the object of abandonment of seeing and when the path of seeing becomes manifest, the object of abandonment of meditation being manifest is contradictory, therefore those will become abandoned. If it is done like that, then at the time of the final path of meditation of the Great Vehicle, even if there is no smallness of the extremely small object of abandonment of meditation, abandonment refers to the liberation path in relation to that object of abandonment, or at the time of the first moment of the omniscient wisdom. What is said that the subtle habit of bad rebirth only reverts in the Buddha-land, and does not revert before that, is also said in terms of abandonment. In any mind-stream, the similar later generations of the object of abandonment of seeing and the object of abandonment of meditation can never arise, that is the meaning of those being abandoned. For this, the antidote to the seed of the object of abandonment must precede, because as before, the liberation path of abandonment must be done by that antidote. The object of abandonment and the antidote are also contradictory, and cannot exist simultaneously. The way of not existing simultaneously is not the way of not being able to constantly accompany each other like heat and cold, but the way of not being able to exist simultaneously from the point of view of time like light and darkness, therefore the antidote, the uncontaminated uninterrupted path, and its object of abandonment, the two will not exist simultaneously in one stream. Then, at the time of the uninterrupted path of the path of seeing, although there is no object of abandonment of seeing, its object of abandonment, there must be the dormancy of the object of abandonment of meditation. At that time, the consciousness of the mind is uncontaminated by the habit of dualistic confusion, therefore it is unreasonable for the dormancy to abide in its nature. The root consciousness is also not its basis, and form is also not its basis, and the alaya consciousness is not admitted, therefore it will become without its basis, if you think like that. There is no fault, for example, in the school that admits the alaya consciousness, the object of the afflicted mind with the aspect of self-grasping is the place of the habit of affliction, similarly, in the school of the consequentialists who do not admit the alaya consciousness, the place to which the imputation of self applies is merely the basis of the dormancy of the object of abandonment of meditation at that time. That is also merely the I imputed on the stream of consciousness or merely the person. Then, in the Commentary on the Entrance it says: With what mind-stream

Now, that which makes one accustomed, makes one habituated, and makes one continue to practice, is habit. The basis upon which habit is habituated is said to be on the mind-stream. If one thinks that the individual is not the continuum of mind, therefore it should not be the basis for habituation, there is no fault in this. Just as the mind of that individual sees form, therefore establishing that individual as the seer is not contradictory. Likewise, that stream of consciousness is the basis for habituating habits, and the individual imputed upon it is established as the basis for habits, this is also not contradictory. By that reasoning, one should also understand the latent tendencies of what is to be abandoned by seeing, and the support where they abide, and so on. Those previous tenets were explained as a reasoning for establishing the base of all (ālaya-vijñāna), and one should also infer others by the manner of answering them. The second is: Furthermore, if arising causes itself to arise, then does it cause itself to arise as unarisen or arisen? Among these, if it is like the first, then this arising is unarisen, how can it cause its own self-nature? It cannot cause it. If it is not like that, then even a flower in the sky should be able to cause itself to arise. If it is said that it causes itself to arise as arisen, then after it has already arisen, what is there to cause again? Because there is nothing, arising does not cause itself. If it does not cause itself, then another characteristic is needed, and if that is the case, then although one wants to abandon it, one cannot abandon it. If one says that it does not cause itself, and others do not cause it either, then it would be unconditioned. If there is none, then as it is said in the commentary and explanation of the "Lamp of Wisdom," those (dharmas) abide in their respective places, and that would be reasonable. Therefore, one should complete the refutation of the three characteristics in common from here. From the so-called arisen and unarisen, it is the beginning of separate refutations, and one should also know the boundary of the beginning of separate refutations of the other two. Therefore, up to this point, when refuting the faults of asserting faults in the case of having or not having other characteristics, although only arising is mentioned, one should also understand that by that, the refutation of faults of the other two is also understood. The second has three parts: Refuting the establishment of arising as self-existent. Refuting the establishment of abiding as self-existent. Refuting the establishment of ceasing as self-existent. The first has three parts: Regarding the object to be produced, refuting by examining the three times. Refuting by examining the three aspects of existence and non-existence. Refuting by examining whether it is in the process of ceasing or not. The first has three parts: Arising in common and in particular,
