The example of fire is not valid. The example of fire includes the actual meaning of seeing, so it was answered together before, that is, to refute. Because, just as going is prevented for the three (past, present, future) by distinguishing between gone and not gone, similarly, for burning, saying not burning, for seeing, saying not seeing, and so on, and temporarily saying the burner does not burn, temporarily saying the seer does not see, and so on, should also be stated similarly. Therefore, not seeing oneself, but seeing others, does not exist in essence, this view is established. Third, when one does not see oneself or others at all, then one is not seeing, at that time, it is unreasonable to see the non-seeing, because by seeing objects, the eye is able to see, how is it reasonable to say this? It is not reasonable. Second, also, here it is said that the eye is able to see because it sees objects, then the eye is the agent of seeing. At that time, the agent eye must be related to the act of seeing, so whether the eye is the nature of seeing or not, it should be examined in relation to the act. If according to the first case, the eye is the nature of seeing, then seeing objects again is not related to the act, because it will become two acts of seeing, and in that case, the seer will also become two. If according to the second case, the eye is not the nature of seeing, then it is not seeing objects, because it is separated from the act of seeing, like the tip of a finger. When the nature of seeing exists or not, it is not appropriate to see objects, then it is said that seeing is done by seeing, how can that be reasonable? Combine this with the above content. What is said to be great, these four meanings that were previously refuted, Chandrakirti explains through comparison, while Buddhapalita explains it this way: Also, you say that seeing is because of seeing objects, this is saying the fault of the act to the agent eye, seeing is because of being able to see. Therefore, seeing is seeing when seeing the object, not seeing is not seeing. When seeing is seeing when seeing the object, and not seeing at all is not seeing, how is it reasonable to say that the eye is seeing because it is able to see? Although there is the act of seeing in the meaning of the word "seeing", the word "being able to see"

For that reason, there is no second action. If, even though there is no second action, one still thinks that it exists, then it will become that both the action of seeing and the seer are two. If one wants to avoid that fault and thinks that the meaning of the word "seeing" is the action of seeing, but does not think of the former, then the thought that "seeing acts as seeing" is also unreasonable, because the meaning of "acting as seeing" is that there is no action of seeing. If one wants to avoid that and thinks that the meaning of "acting as seeing" is the action of seeing, then the meaning of "seeing" is that there is no action, because it is not seeing, and it is separated from the action of seeing, so it cannot act as seeing, thus explaining by connecting all six parts. Here, because one acts as seeing on form, the reason why the single action of seeing form is unreasonable in the meaning of the two words "seeing" is: the action of the meaning of the word "seeing" is on the eye, and the action of the meaning of acting as seeing on form is also on the action, if these two are established by their own characteristics, then the meanings established by their own characteristics must exist separately, and it is contradictory to rely on one action in common, as has been said before, and should be understood in this way. Some people in our own school think that merely the dharma that is being produced arises without action, so through the path related to action, they do not see any object at all, because there is no action. Therefore, the proof that the eye with the nature of seeing does not see the object because it is related to action is to prove what has already been established, that is what they think. If there is no action that has become a branch of expression, then at that time there will be no dharma either, because it is separated from action, like a flower in the sky. Therefore, if there is existence or non-existence in expression, then just as one accepts merely dharma, one should also accept action. However, if one only thinks of existence or non-existence, then just as one cannot accept action, there is no mere dharma either, as it is said in the Hundred Treatises: "What is associated with action is impermanent, the one who goes everywhere has no action, the one who has no action is equal to nothing, why are you not happy with the selfless?" Thus it is said. Therefore, the views of other schools will not become a harm to the Madhyamikas, and we also do not have the fault of proving what has already been established, as explained in the Clear Words. Here, the meaning of no action is the action of seeing form and the action of Deva giving walking, etc.
