It is considered that there is no innate wisdom, as it is said in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: Since in the world, only seeds are sown, It is said that I gave birth to this child, And it is also thought that the tree was planted by me, Therefore, there is no other birth in the world. This is said, and it is the explanation of Buddhapālita. In the world, after putting the impure seed of the son's body into the womb, it is said that this son was born by me, and just planting the seed of a tree, it is said that this tree was planted by me. The son, the tree, and the seed are not considered to be different in their own characteristics. If it is not so, then it should also be named that I gave birth to and planted other people and other trees. Although the seeds that are put in and planted are not sons and trees, they can be established as giving birth to sons and planting trees for the reason of doing so. For example, hands and eyes are not people, but when hands hurt and eyes see things, they can be established as I hurt and I see things. In the world, parents and sons do not establish names in this way, so the two cases mentioned earlier are in terms of the cause and effect of the same continuum. Although the innate clinging of worldly people does not cling to the existence of other-birth, without other-birth, the annihilation of names cannot be established. Saying that it is born from both is that the sprout of the number theory is born from the seed, which is its nature, and the birth from the cause of land, etc., is the birth that is different from its meaning; and the naked people think that the pottery pot exists in the nature of the soil, and the birth is the self-birth that depends on the soil, and the other-birth that depends on the potter and the wheel; and the sacrificer thinks that the nature of the previous life exists, and the birth is the self-birth that depends on the life, and the other-birth that depends on the parents and karma, which is the reason for refuting the birth of self and other mentioned earlier. Saying that it is born from no cause refers to one of the twenty-five truths separated from the number theory, relying on the vast doctrine created by the righteous man, the eye of the world, and those who follow it. If it is born from no cause, then the birth determined by place, time, and nature has no cause, and if it is born from one, it should be born from all.

If change and fabrication all become meaningless. Lekden said that on top of no cause, there is also a cause, but even if there is a cause, it does not act as a cause, and arising from Ishvara etc. is also included here. Chandrakirti refuted by saying that arising from those is included in the first three, so it is unreasonable. Second, it is established that "those do not arise", because without those, it is established that it is distinguished by dependent arising without arising etc., as it is said in Prasannapadā, even if a refutation of excess is made, it is still establishing the absence of inherent arising. By establishing that, it is also established that it is distinguished by the eight distinctions mentioned in the praise, the way it is established is that if it does not arise, it will not cease, so it can prevent the nature of cessation, therefore it is said in the Śataśāstra: The born has coming, similarly the ceased has no going. As it is said, it is established that there is no nature of going and coming. By negating the oneness and difference of the fruit and the cause and nature, as explained in the eighteenth chapter, it also abandons permanence and annihilation. Here, in Prasannapadā, it is said that if things do not arise from self, other, both, and without cause, then it is unreasonable to say that actions arise due to ignorance, the answer is: This is conventional truth, not ultimate truth. It is said that if arising due to ignorance is in ultimate truth, then these two are contradictory, but it is established in conventional truth so it is not contradictory, the meaning is that by the reason of negating the four extremes of arising, it does not negate the arising of conventional truth, therefore in name, the absence of the four extremes of arising and the existence of arising are not contradictory. Then, is it necessary to explain the establishment of conventional truth? The answer is that merely with this condition, it is admitted that conventional truth is established, it is not admitted in the way of admitting the four sides, thus the boundary is clearly explained by admitting and not admitting. The reason for those two is that if the latter is admitted, it must be admitted that things have inherent existence, if the former is admitted, because the two of cause and effect are mutually dependent, so there is no inherent establishment, therefore it will not be said that things have inherent existence, thus it is said that it is unreasonable to admit inherent establishment and it is reasonable to admit the absence of inherent existence. As the knowable of that, praise surpassing the world.
