Although nirvana is not a real entity, this is true. But it is merely the cessation of afflictions and birth and death, so nirvana is not a real entity, they think so. This does not prevent the non-real entity of the afflictions and the cessation of birth and death that are to be negated. However, they believe that the existence in the non-real entity is not merely established in name, but exists by its own nature, so this is what is to be negated. If nirvana is not a real entity, then how can it be possible for it to exist as a non-real entity by its own nature? This will not happen. In this way, whichever side is pointed to, the fault has already been pointed out, therefore, the side that nirvana is not a real entity, it is not reasonable to admit that nirvana exists as a non-real entity by its own nature. Because it is said that the real entity will be transformed into a non-real entity, and it has already been prevented that the real entity exists by its own nature, so it is unreasonable for the real entity to exist by its own nature to be transformed into another. If the non-real entity universally has the difference of the real entity, that is, transformed into another, then that is the case, but there are many non-real entities that are not like that, then, how do you think that this reason can negate that nirvana exists as a non-real entity by its own nature? Even if not all non-real entities are universally like that, but if the non-real entity exists by its own nature, it must be a real entity. At that time, it is necessary to understand the way of destruction, that is, the non-real entity without a certain real entity, in the way that one thing is transformed into another, so there is no fault. If it is thought that nirvana is merely the cessation of afflictions, and that there is no more rebirth due to the power of karma and afflictions, so it is a non-real entity. If this is the case, then the impermanence of afflictions and birth and death themselves will become nirvana, because the absence of afflictions and birth and death is nirvana itself, and not other. Therefore, if the impermanence of those two becomes nirvana, then it should not be thought so, if it is thought so, liberation will be obtained without effort. The commentary says so, some people think that nirvana is merely the non-reappearance of afflictions and the cycle of taking bodies, then, thinking that the impermanence of both afflictions and birth and death is nirvana, this statement is irrelevant. If no matter what is obtained, it is impossible for afflictions to arise again, then not arising afflictions is the second destruction of afflictions when they existed before.

Although it is not impermanent, if the non-arising of afflictions in the future exists by its own nature, then afflictions are destroyed for the second time when they previously existed, and because it prevents these two from being different meanings, if it is shown that these two become one, then it must be admitted in that way, so there is no fault. Furthermore, if nirvana is not a thing, but exists by its own nature in non-things, for example, the impermanence of the destruction of blue, the non-existence of blue things depends on blue to be established, then how does nirvana also not depend on the destruction of the thing to be negated to be established? It is established. If there is no non-thing that does not depend on things, then what things do the sons of barren women and others depend on to become non-things? As it is said in the fifth chapter, such as "If things are not established," the world says that things become other, become non-things, who said such non-things as the sons of barren women and others? Then, just as space, rabbit horns, and the sons of barren women and others, are spoken of in words even though they do not exist, dependence on things is also the same. If it is said that the scriptures say that those are not things, this contradicts the scriptures. Then, there it is only said to negate things and call them non-things, but it is not shown to exist by its own nature in non-things, because things themselves are not established by their own nature. Here it is said that those whose basis, such as rabbit horns, is not established are not non-things, this is to deny the non-things of the destruction of things and the non-things established by their own nature, but it is not considered to be merely non-things, because it is said that it is merely the clinging to the distinctions of things, and in other occasions it is also repeatedly answered that there are no things. Therefore, whatever non-things that are not established by depending on things do not exist by their own nature, this is the right reason. Third, if nirvana does not exist by the nature of things and non-things, then what is it? Just like the birth and death that come from the previous world to this world, and go from this world to the next world, like long and short things, it is established by depending on the aggregation of its own causes and conditions, or like light arising from a lamp, depending on its own causes and conditions.
