Furthermore, in the "Clear Words" it is also said: "All the sounds that exist in the world are unreal, nothing at all." Because actions and so on arise, therefore, wanting to express negation by "non-existence," the meaning of "non-existent things" is the meaning of "no self-nature." Thus it is said. Merely showing no self-nature, this "merely" does not mean that it is only distinguishing self-nature, but it cuts off the content expressed by language, where would it cut off showing that self-nature does not exist? Similarly, merely using reasoning to negate the aspect of self-nature existing, it is not saying that it is only negating self-nature, but it cuts off the establishment of other dharmas, but it will never cut off merely establishing self-nature negation, therefore it is showing the meaning of non-affirming negation. Furthermore, if there is no way to show one real contradiction that removes the three aggregates, then you can say whatever you like, whether it is existence or non-existence, one or many, etc. After making a decisive examination on the two extremes, if non-affirming negation exists, then negating one real contradiction, if the other is not established, then it does not exist, as it says in the "Madhyamaka Illumination": "The characteristics of dharmas that exist by mutually abandoning each other, if one is not negated and the other is established, then it does not exist, therefore, it is not reasonable to think of the aspect that is neither this nor that." And "If what is completely cut off, and what is not distinguished, if these two do not exist, then that is the nature of existing by mutually abandoning each other. Whatever is the nature of existing by mutually abandoning each other, that is what pervades in all aspects. Whatever pervades in all aspects, that is what removes other aggregates, for example, the difference between embodied and non-embodied, etc." Thus it is said. The definition of the two negations and what is to be established by the reason that negates self-nature is non-affirming negation, and if one real contradiction is distinguished, then the other is completely cut off, and if one is negated, then the other must be established, there is no difference between Madhyamaka Prasangika and Svatantrika. If self-nature existence is distinguished by valid cognition, then the negation that is negated is determined by valid cognition, therefore it will become completely cut off, as it says in the "Madhyanta-vibhanga": "Completely cut off and understandable." Thus it is said. Therefore, the sprout's no self-nature is to be established, but complete cutting off is not to be established. If you want to establish all complete cutting off, then that is the complete cutting off of

Speaking without understanding the meaning means that it is necessary to completely determine that this basis is not this dharma, and that this dharma does not exist on this, because this exists on all knowable things. Because the things to be negated by the intellect are those that must be actually determined and then ascertained. If self-nature does not exist, then the mundane measure cannot prevent the existence of self-nature, so the non-existence of self-nature cannot be established, so it must be measured by reason. If there is no non-existence of self-nature, then the two negations will rely on reality, and things will become self-existent. As it says in the "Refutation of Disputes": If self-nature does not exist, then what is used to negate the non-existence of self-nature? If the non-existence of self-nature itself is negated, then self-nature itself will be completely established. This is clearly stated in it. Reason only outwardly prevents self-nature, and does not take the non-existence of self-nature as an object, so it is said that the sign cannot establish it either. If this is said, then it must also be said that the scriptures also only outwardly prevent self-nature and self, and do not take the non-existence of self-nature and selflessness as objects to be explained. Therefore, it cannot be said that all the definitive meaning scriptures and Madhyamaka treatises that explain the ultimate truth explain the emptiness of dependent origination and freedom from extremes. In this way, it is possible to negate both the true existence and the true non-existence of a sprout, and it is also possible to negate the true establishment, but it is not possible to negate the existence and non-existence in reality, and the existence and non-existence in ultimate truth are the same. The second part is divided into two points: refuting the argument that reason establishes the non-existence of self-nature, and refuting the argument that establishing the non-existence of self-nature by reason is establishing reality. The first point is: Some people think that the non-existence of the self-nature of a sprout must be established by reason, because other measures cannot establish it, and reason has already established the non-existence of self-nature. If reason discovers existence, then it must be that in the examination and search of existence and non-existence, and is and is not, it has discovered one of them, therefore it is truly existent. In this way, all the reasoning that negates the reality of what is to be negated also applies to the emptiness of what is to be negated, so what is to be negated cannot be established either. In response to this, we believe that reason only thinks that there is no self-establishment, and apart from this, it does not cling to anything such as the non-existence of self-nature, so it only regards non-affirming negation as the thing to be measured. If self-nature does not exist
