Fifth, one should strive to understand, as it is said that this is due to not understanding the meaning of dependent origination. The third is that whatever faults are spoken of against our side will not hold, and moreover, all establishments such as truth are extremely reasonable, because in any system in which emptiness of inherent existence, i.e., established by its own nature, is allowed for all phenomena, then all those statements will hold. The reason for this is that we speak of emptiness as emptiness of dependent origination with inherent existence. Therefore, for those who allow emptiness, dependent origination also holds. Moreover, only dependent origination becomes suffering, and non-dependent origination cannot become suffering. If suffering exists, then the arising of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the path to the cessation of suffering will also hold. If these exist, then the four truths, such as knowing them, will also hold, and if these four truths exist, then the fruits and those who abide in them will hold. If there are those who abide in the fruits and those who have entered the stream, then the Sangha and the truths exist, and the sacred Dharma also exists. If these two exist, then the Buddha will also hold, and therefore the Three Jewels will all hold. All phenomena, both transcendent and non-transcendent, as well as Dharma and non-Dharma and their results, and even worldly terms, will also hold. All the reasons for this are explained by the commentary on the "Treatise on Existence," and it is said that this is the view of the Madhyamikas. Therefore, if one asserts "existence," one will fall into the extreme of existence, and all establishments will be handed over to others alone, which is meaningless. The second part has three points: the reason why the accuser incurs the fault; how they regard their own fault as the fault of others; and clearly pointing out what those faults are. The first point is that for any system in which inherent existence exists and emptiness is not allowed, then dependent origination will not hold, and therefore all establishments will not hold. As for how it does not hold, the reasons will be explained in detail later. The second point is that therefore, our side is very pure and does not contradict all the establishments of samsara and nirvana. However, their own view is coarse, very close, full of faults, and contradictory, and because they are very foolish, how can they
