Just as pure birth and other phenomena are not visible when they appear, so they are false conventionalities. Similarly, the negation of pure birth and other phenomena would also become a false conventionality because the object of negation is not visible to the mind that perceives the object. In response to this, it is said that it is not invisible because it is not different from the nature of the object. This means that the negation of the subject of negation, without the elaboration of mere severance, is not directly visible to the consciousness of the eye, etc., but that is not the case. Non-affirming negation is the system that holds that whatever appears to the object of negation also appears to it. By this reasoning, the objects of the omniscient wisdom of the Buddhas and the subsequent wisdom of the lower noble ones, which measure the meaning of illusion in a non-affirming way, should also be regarded as nominal ultimates. Those who say that they have realized the freedom from elaboration by the wisdom of the meditative equipoise of the noble ones, which is merely the severance of elaborations, are very happy and pleased. But it is unbearable to say that they have measured the negation of non-elaboration. This is because they do not realize that merely severing the object of negation is the meaning of non-affirming negation, and they mistakenly believe that all non-affirming negations are like rabbit horns, which is a fault of the mind. For if nothing is established, it is contradictory to be a non-affirming negation. Thirdly, the distinction between mere conventionality and truth is that it is not the acceptance of conventionality that does not include conventionality in truth, and that images and other things that are false in conventionality are not conventional truths. This is also not to show that there is conventionality that does not belong to conventional truth, as has been said before. In the commentary on the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning and in the commentary on the Entrance, it is said that all three truths of suffering, origin, and path are conventional truths. In the Clear Words, it is also said: "All these terms, such as the expresser, the expressed, the consciousness, and the object of consciousness, are called the conventional truth of the world." Therefore, the meaning of all terms is said to be conventional truth, so all objects of knowledge are included in the two truths. That is, if a certain basis, which is false and deceptive, is completely determined to be the meaning of deception, then the meaning of non-deception must be determined, so deception and non-deception are contradictions that exist in mutual exclusion. Thus, it pervades all objects of knowledge in a mutually exclusive manner.

Therefore, if understood in this way, the third aggregate will also be negated. Therefore, regarding the knowable, one must clearly recognize the number of two truths. That is, all things, through the appearance of truth and falsehood, acquire the two essences of things. Therefore, by establishing the definition of the two truths, the determination of number is accomplished. The second point is that the way in which the Buddhas teach the Dharma is based on the two truths. Those who do not understand the difference between the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, as previously explained, also do not understand the Buddha's teachings, which is the profound reality of dependent origination. Therefore, if one wants to understand the reality of the Victorious One's teachings, one should understand the conventional truth that arises dependently and is established dependently, appearing like the moon in water, where all actions are reasonable. And, for the same reason, one should understand the ultimate truth that is free from the extremes of existence by its own nature and complete non-existence. The third point is that if the ultimate truth is the nature of being free from elaboration, then it is sufficient to merely proclaim it. Then, what is the use of proclaiming the conventional truths such as aggregates, elements, sources, truths, and dependent origination? If it is not the ultimate truth, but should be abandoned, then there is no need to proclaim what should be abandoned. Although it is true that one should abandon the illusions of the conventional truth that appear as reality even though they are not, one cannot proclaim the ultimate truth without relying on the names of worldly ultimate truths related to the noble ones, such as the conventional truth, like what is said and what can be said, knowledge and what can be known, etc. Without proclaiming the ultimate truth, one cannot realize it, and without realizing the ultimate truth, one cannot attain Nirvana. Therefore, as a method of attaining liberation, just as a person who desires water needs a container, one must first unhesitatingly acknowledge how the conventional truth exists. The fourth point is that a yogi, merely because he does not understand the conventional truth, realizes that arising is without self-nature, and thus realizes its emptiness, which is the characteristic of the ultimate truth. In this way, he will not fall into two extremes, because the reason for holding that a self-nature established by characteristics previously existed and later disappeared has never been observed before, and the worldly conventional form
