Replied. Then, in the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning," it says: Nirvana is the only truth. When did the Victorious Ones proclaim it? At that time, are the remaining ones not mistaken? Which wise person would contemplate this? How should one understand the statement that nirvana is the only truth and the others are not true? The answer to this is in the commentary on the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning": Then, the Bhagavan said: "Oh monks, this supreme truth is one, namely, the non-deceptive nature of nirvana." How is that said? Just as conditioned phenomena appear falsely and deceive children, nirvana is not like that, because it is constant and abides in its own essence with the nature of non-arising. Therefore, it never appears to children as the nature of arising, like conditioned phenomena. Therefore, nirvana is always abiding in nirvana itself, so it is only spoken of as the supreme truth in worldly terms. Like this, the meaning of saying that non-deception is truth, and that is also said by the power of convention. The sutra itself also says "non-deceptive nature," because it is spoken of as the meaning of truth. And, all conditioned phenomena are false, of a deceptive nature, because the meaning of falsity is spoken of as deception, so it is also known that the meaning of truth is non-deception. Therefore, the truth of relative truth, in the face of those who grasp at truth, the two, truth and ultimate truth, have different meanings. The commentary on the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning" says that nirvana is true in the relative sense, which means that nirvana exists in the ultimate truth, and it is the meaning of establishing it in the face of the relative, but it is not that it is considered true in name. Second, there are two parts: the meaning of the main text and refuting disputes. The first is: The characteristic of ultimate truth is stated in the "Entering the Middle Way": "It is attained by seeing the true meaning of what is to be known," as previously explained. Its commentary says: "Therein, the ultimate is the object of the special wisdom of those who see reality, by which one attains one's own essence, but it is not established by one's own nature, because this is one essence." Like this, it is said that it is attained by the stainless wisdom that measures Suchness, but it is not established by its own essence.
