Just as images and the like appear but are not real, so too, for those with ignorance, blue and other things appear to be established by their own nature, but in reality, they are not. Therefore, there is no distinction between correct and incorrect for these two types of consciousness. So, for the senses with form, because there is temporary harm, the object appears reversed; for the consciousness of the mind, because there is harm from sleep and the like, in dreams, people appear as people and are grasped as such; in the waking state, the appearance of illusory horses and cattle are grasped as horses and cattle, and mirages appearing as water are grasped as water. Even worldly people with their own intelligence can understand that these objects are reversed. However, for the mind, because there is harm from bad philosophical tenets, how can worldly people with their own intelligence understand the meaning of wrong grasping as reversed? Here, the harm of examining whether there is harm or not does not apply to the harm of innately grasping as reversed. What is established by bad philosophical tenets is only the chief and others who are wrongly established by philosophical tenets in the way of changing the mind. Although worldly people with their own intelligence cannot understand that these are reversed, if the conventional measure that does not directly face reality can understand that it is wrong, then it is the worldly consciousness that understands it is wrong. Like the meaning grasped by the two innate self-grasps, this is what is grasped by the unimpaired senses. Although it is correct or true in relation to the self-satisfied thoughts of worldly people, it does not exist even in convention. Those Madhyamaka-Svatantrikas who believe that consciousness appears to be established by its own nature are certain that what appears exists as it appears, and therefore do not distinguish between correct and incorrect for the object-possessor. Instead, they distinguish whether or not what appears as an object has its own nature as it appears. As it is said in the Two Truths: Although appearances are similar, their functions differ, Because of the ability to function and the inability to function, The division of the conventional is made between correct and incorrect. This is how they assert it. This system believes that for those who have ignorance, everything that appears to be established by its own nature is an appearance that is defiled by ignorance. Therefore, they do not distinguish between correct and incorrect in the meaning of the conventional truth. Here, in the commentary on the Entrance, it says: Whatever

Saying that even in conventional truth it is false, that is not conventional truth. This is in relation to the conventional truth of worldly people who are proficient in terminology. Like an image in a mirror, it is not true in essence, so the conventional truth that relies on it is also not true. Nevertheless, the knowable is false, the meaning of deception is seen, so the meaning obtained is true, so it is conventional truth. Just as the consciousness that manifests images is mistaken about the object of manifestation, for those who have ignorance, blue and so on appear to be established by their own characteristics, which is the same as being mistaken about the object of manifestation. If the measurable is established as true, then establishing it with such error is incompatible, but for establishing the measurable as false, it itself is a help. If it is not so, then meanings like illusions and false things must be established as terms, so conventional truth is impossible, because if it is not true in terms, then it contradicts conventional truth. The second part has three aspects: explaining the meaning of ultimate and truth, explaining the definition of ultimate truth, and explaining the classification of ultimate truth. The first part is: The Clear Words says: "Meaning is also it, and supreme is also it, therefore it is ultimate. It itself is true, therefore it is ultimate truth." Therefore, others Supreme refers to the uncontaminated wisdom of meditative equipoise and the object of the ultimate, but you do not think so, but think that both meaning and supreme are ultimate truth itself. The way of truth of ultimate truth is: it is not deceiving, and it exists in another way, and it appears in another way, so it does not deceive the world. Ultimate truth is merely established as existing by virtue of worldly terms, as the Commentary on the Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning says: "If so, then how is Nirvana said to be ultimate truth? Because it itself does not deceive the world, so it is called ultimate truth only by virtue of worldly terms. Whatever is deceiving is not ultimate truth. The three truths are all conditioned phenomena, so they appear without self-nature, so for children, it itself is deceiving, so it is separately established as conventional truth." Therefore, Nirvana is established as conventional truth, if so, then it does not conform to ultimate truth.
