This should not be done. Otherwise, if things are established by their own nature, it would contradict the principle that they cannot exist even in conventional terms. If refuting true existence and establishing non-true existence are done in conventional terms, then it is unreasonable to establish true establishment in conventional terms. If this is not done, then it cannot be done even in the ultimate sense, so all these establishments will become impossible. Then, would the nature of phenomena and the two graspers become true in the appearance of the conventional, and thus the conventional become true? If the conventional is established as true simply because the two graspers are true in the appearance of the conventional, then that would be the case. However, we do not say that the truth of the conventional truth is merely explaining in which conventional appearance it is true, and how it is true in that appearance. The second point is that each of the internal and external objects has two natures, ultimate and conventional. For example, taking a sprout as an example, there is the nature of the sprout obtained by the wisdom of correct view that sees the meaning of the knowable, and the nature of the sprout obtained by the conventional consciousness that measures the meaning of deceiving false objects. The former is the nature of the ultimate truth of the sprout, and the latter is the nature of the conventional truth of the sprout. As it is said in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: All things, by true and false vision, will apprehend the two natures of things. That which is seen by the true is the very thing, and that which is seen by the false is declared to be the conventional truth. This shows that the nature of the sprout has two natures of the two truths, the ultimate is obtained by the former wisdom, and the conventional is obtained by the latter wisdom. It does not mean that the same nature of the sprout appears as two truths in relation to the two former and latter wisdoms. As it is said in the Commentary on Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: The own nature of all things is shown to be twofold, namely conventional and ultimate. The nature of each thing is divided into two, the ultimate is obtained by the wisdom that sees the true meaning, and the conventional is obtained by the wisdom that sees the false. The nature of the sprout is its own nature, so it is called its nature, and the color and shape of the sprout, etc., are also the self of the sprout, so it is its nature. An example is like a vase.
