Apart from these two, there is nothing that is established by its own nature as non-erroneous knowledge. Since it does not exist, what does non-erroneous knowledge rely on to become erroneous? The remaining three are also applied in the same way. If it is said that suffering is happiness, then such clinging is erroneous. Then, how is clinging to emptiness as suffering not erroneous? It is like this. If the clinging to permanence is established by its own nature as erroneous, then impermanence must be established by its own nature as non-erroneous, this is the reasoning. Third, if the clinging to permanence is not established by its own nature as erroneous, even so, for the time being, clinging itself is self-existent. Clinging is the nature of action. In this regard, there is no doubt that there must be an agent that can establish actions such as permanence, as well as the agent of self or mind, and the actions of form and so on. If these are established by their own nature, then my wish is fulfilled. However, by what action does one cling, and what kind of action is clinging, and the agent of clinging and the object of clinging, all are completely pacified, that is, not born by their own nature, therefore clinging itself is not self-existent. Without action, such as "if impermanence is permanence," etc., without an agent, such as "my existence and non-existence," etc., without an object, such as "form, sound, smell, taste, and touch," etc., it has already been explained. Or, the first chapter and so on have already explained that the agent, the object, the agent, and all actions are not born, therefore there is no clinging. Second, if error exists by its own nature, because the giver of the gods associated with error exists by its own nature. There are three refutations to this: because the dependent dharma does not exist by its own nature, the dependent person's existence by its own nature is refuted; the basis of error being established by its own nature is refuted; error arising by its own nature is refuted. First, the agent, the agent, and the action that are the limbs of clinging have already been said to not exist by their own nature, therefore, whether it is erroneous or true, that is, non-erroneous clinging, if it is not self-existent, then what does the person who is the basis rely on?

Is the distorted and where it is not distorted, does it exist by its own nature or not? Secondly, furthermore, if this distortion is considered to exist in the basis of a person, then it will not exceed the three cases of already being distorted, etc. Moreover, for those who are already distorted, it is impossible for the nature of distortion to exist, because if it exists, then in order to establish it as the holder of distortion, it must possess a distortion that is different from the object other than distortion, then for the latter, the former is not needed. For a person who has not become distorted, distortion is impossible, because it would follow that even the Buddha has distortion. For those who are becoming distorted, it is impossible for the nature of distortion to be established, because the nature of distortion does not exist except for the action of distortion that has been destroyed and not yet born. The situation of some parts being distorted and some parts not being distorted also does not exceed the faults of the previous two examinations. Thus, if the basis of distortion does not have the nature of distortion at any time in the three times of past, present, and future, then in which basis will the nature of distortion exist? Please discern for yourself with an impartial mind! Thirdly, furthermore, if distortions are not born from their own nature, then how can they become existent by their own nature? They will not become. If distortions are not born from their own nature, then how can a person with distortions be established by their own nature? They will not be established. The reason why they are not born from their own nature is: the object of distortion is not born from myself, nor is it born from others, nor is it born from the aggregation of myself and others, because the nature of distortion does not exist, so how can a person with distortions be established by their own nature? They will not be established. Thirdly, if self, purity, permanence, and happiness exist by their own nature, then what is knowable will not be distorted, just like no-self, etc. This is an example of merely establishing the meaning of others. If self, purity, permanence, and happiness do not exist by their own nature, then no-self, impurity, impermanence, and suffering are also not existent by their own nature, because if there is no object to be refuted, then refuting it cannot be truly established. If that is the case, then no-self
