If there is no result produced by nature from itself, it is extremely contradictory, because it is not a collection of causes and conditions, so there is no result that is made. If you also say that although the result does not exist by nature, the collection of causes and conditions does exist by nature. Therefore, the result also exists by nature, then, as the reason mentioned above, if analyzed, the result does not exist by nature, then how can the collection of conditions exist? It does not exist. Second, in this way, the two causes and conditions produce results from the collection and separation, and it has been shown that self-nature is not established. This point is also established by the profound scriptural evidence, and in order to explain that all the scriptures that show this way will be explained by this treatise, so if combined with some definitive scriptural evidences, such as the Extensive Play Sutra, it says: Relying on the lips, throat, and palate, the sound of letters is produced from the movement of the tongue, not relying on the throat, nor relying on the palate, each one cannot determine the letters. Relying on their collection, that language is not produced by the power of the mind's wisdom, the mind and language are formless, and cannot be determined inside and outside. If the wise analyze the production and destruction of language, sound, and speech, then all languages are like echoes in the valley, momentary, and meaningless. The sutra says that the sound of language arises from causes and conditions, and if analyzed, it has no self-nature, and that it arises in this way is also due to the power of the mind. For this very joyful teaching, etc., as quoted above, and the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra also says, Kausika, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who wears great armor should not abide in form, and should not abide in the remaining four aggregates, four fruits, solitary Buddhas, and perfect complete enlightenment. Third, Buddhapalita says: If there is no time, no cause and effect, and no collection, then what else is there? Therefore, this is saying that there is nothing. This is not an explanation, just as time and so on are distinguished as existing from self-nature, this is unreasonable, but it is established to establish them by relying on them. Just as it is said in the sutra, time and cause

Therefore, just as those who assert things believe that the aggregates of results and conditions are inherently existent, but this is not the case, because this has been refuted. Therefore, it should be known that dependent arising, which arises in dependence on causes and conditions, is unrefuted. The chapter called "Examination of Aggregates" is the explanation of the twentieth chapter of the Root Verses on the Middle Way, which has twenty-four verses.\\ \\ Second, there are three parts to refuting that time is the cause of arising and ceasing: explaining the tenets of the treatise, combining it with the scriptural authority of meaning, and summarizing the meaning and indicating the name. The first part is: Here someone says that time exists by its own nature, because it is the cause of the arising and destruction of results. For example, a sprout relies on the winter season to perish and relies on the spring season to grow. If arising and ceasing existed by their own nature, then even if time became the cause of arising and ceasing by its own nature, it would not be the case. This has two parts: refuting that arising and ceasing are established by their own nature, and if it is thought that arising and ceasing are established by their own nature, then pointing out the faults of permanence and annihilation.\\ \\ The first part has two points: refuting the thesis that arising and ceasing exist by their own nature, and refuting the reason that arising and ceasing exist by their own nature. The first part has three points: refuting by examining whether arising and ceasing exist simultaneously, refuting by examining where arising and ceasing exist, and refuting by examining whether arising and ceasing are one or different. The first part has three points: establishing the thesis, pointing out the reason, and summarizing the meaning of these. The first point is: If arising and ceasing exist by their own nature, then destruction is not arising, that is, it does not exist without arising, nor does it exist by its own nature simultaneously with arising. Arising is not destruction, that is, it does not exist without destruction, nor does it exist by its own nature simultaneously with destruction. These are the four theses. The second part has two points: refuting whether destruction exists simultaneously with arising, and refuting whether arising exists simultaneously with destruction. The first point is: Destruction would be arising, that is, it would exist without arising, but it would not be so. As indicated by "how," this shows that it is completely impossible. If it existed in that way, it would die without arising, that is, it would die without being born, but this has never been seen by anyone. Therefore, destruction cannot exist without arising. The destruction of things is simultaneous with arising.
