That non-emptiness will not cease because it has no alteration in its own nature. Therefore, if you think that the result is not empty, then it will also become non-ceasing and unborn, but you would not think so. If the result exists by its own nature, then how can emptiness arise by its own essence, and how can it cease by its essence? This is impossible, like space. Therefore, if you think that the result exists by its own nature and is empty, then it will also become inherently non-ceasing and unborn, but you would not think so either. The sixth is: Furthermore, if the cause produces the result by its own nature, then it does not go beyond two possibilities, that is, the cause and the result are the same in their own nature, which can never be established. The cause and the result are different in their own nature, which can also never be established, this is just an assertion. The reason for this is that if the cause and the result are the same in their own nature, then the produced son and eye consciousness and sprout, and the producing father and eye and seed, etc., will become the same. If the cause and the result are different in their own nature, then because it does not depend on the other established by its own characteristic, the cause being the cause and non-cause will become the same, because for unrelated others, it is impossible to distinguish cause and effect. The seventh is: Furthermore, if the cause produces the result, then it should be examined whether the result is produced by its own nature or not. If the result exists by its own nature, then what does the cause produce? It does not produce, because if it produces, it becomes already established and produced again, and what is already established does not need to be produced again. If the result does not exist by its own essence, then what does the cause produce? It does not produce. If you say that the image does not exist by its own nature, but the cause produces it, this is not certain. Even so, things are established as not existing by their own nature. Therefore, abandoning the saying that things exist by their own nature, we will follow the cause and effect that says things do not exist by their own nature. Because there is nothing established by its own nature, there is no contradiction, and the non-existence of things by their own nature is also not necessarily non-existent by their essence.

Translation. Like us, if the image, which is the object of knowledge, is not established by its own nature, then its dharma is also not established by its own nature. Therefore, in either self-nature or non-self-nature, it is not accepted as being established by its own nature. Previously, the prevention of the arising of the fruit as empty or not empty was from the aspect of the fruit, but here, the prevention of the arising of the fruit as existing or not existing by its own nature is from the aspect of the cause, so it is not repeated. Second, if the action of the cause producing the fruit is also prevented, but the cause is self-existent and not prevented. Then, is the fruit also self-existent? If the cause does not produce the fruit by its own nature, then it is not reasonable for the cause itself to exist by its own nature. If the cause is prevented from existing by its own nature, but the fruit is self-existent, then will the cause also be established by its own nature? If it is unreasonable for the cause itself to exist by its own nature, then the fruit exists by its own nature, which cause is it the fruit of? It will not be. Third, if If the cause alone is not the agent of producing the fruit, but the combination of cause and conditions produces the fruit, then this is unreasonable, because it has already been prevented before. Furthermore, if you think like this, then what is the combination of causes and conditions? Does it produce itself? Or does it not produce? The combination itself does not produce itself, because the production of the fruit is meaningless, and it contradicts the action on itself; and, since the combination is not substantial, it is non-existent by its own nature as a complete agent for the production of the fruit. Thus, because it is not substantial, it does not produce its own self, so how can the combination produce the fruit by its own nature? It cannot produce, like the son of a barren woman. Because the combination does not produce itself and others by its own nature, therefore, the fruit produced by the combination of causes and conditions does not exist by its own nature. In the Buddhapalita it is said: The meaning of the combination not producing its own self is that the combination is not established by its own nature. If the fruit produced by the combination of causes and conditions does not exist, then does the fruit not produced by the combination of causes and conditions exist? The combination of causes and conditions
