As for the principle of arising without seeing initially: The cause does not arise after seeing its own effect, because if it sees, it is already accomplished, so there is no need to arise again. The cause also does not arise by its own nature without seeing its own effect, because if it arises in that way, then one cause would give rise to all effects. What is seeing? This is known in the world as an object of perception. If it is said that this is not possible for those without senses, such as seeds, is it not? Whether it is possible or not, it is not for us to refute, but we should refute those who say that the effect arises by its own nature. If they say that seeds and so on arise after seeing, then it should be said that their seeing of the effect has not been seen in this world. If it is said that it arises by its own nature without seeing, then it should be stated as before. For those who say that individuals and so on are the cause, who say that there is an agent with prior intelligence, and for the naked ascetics who say that seeds and so on, which possess one sense, have consciousness, this fault is unavoidable, so there is no fault. In the "Lamp of Wisdom," if the eye and so on give rise to their own consciousness, then do the objects of that, such as forms, arise by focusing on the object or without focusing on the object? It should be combined with the section that refutes the specific differences of cause and effect. Thirdly, furthermore, if the cause arises the effect by its own nature, then the two must meet, that is, they must gather together simultaneously, otherwise, in light and darkness and samsara and nirvana, the arising and the cause of arising are not seen. However, analyzing the meeting with reason, it is not found in any of the three times. Among them, for the time being, the past effect, such as a sprout, meeting with the past cause, such as a seed, is never possible, because when the two are destroyed, the two no longer exist. Even if the destruction of the earth and the sprout meet, it is not the meeting of the cause and effect of the earth and the sprout. Likewise, the past effect meeting with the unarisen cause of the future is never possible, because the effect has ceased, and the cause itself has not arisen, so the two do not exist, and because the two times are different. The past effect and the arisen cause are now

The union with the cause never exists, because the two are different times. The destruction of the effect is because there is no effect, like the son of a barren woman and Devadatta. The born effect, i.e., the present, and its unborn cause, i.e., the future, and the past cause and the born cause, i.e., the present, will unite, which is never self-existent. Because the past cause and the future cause are different times. If the union of the cause and effect in the present is self-existent, then the previous and subsequent times are not allowed, and they must exist simultaneously, but that does not exist. If it is thought that the established effect unites for the purpose of the cause arising, then that is not needed. The unborn effect, i.e., the future, unites with the born cause, the present, and the unborn future and the past two, which is never self-existent. Because the past cause and the present are different times, and in the time of the future cause and effect, neither of them exists. Thus, when observing the two causes and effects, if the union is not self-existent, then how can the cause produce the effect? It does not produce it. If the union of the two causes and effects is self-existent, then how can the cause self-produce the effect? It does not produce it. If it does not gather with the effect, the union is unreasonable, and if it gathers, it is meaningless to arise again. Fourth, furthermore, if the cause empty of the effect, how can it self-produce the effect? It does not produce it. Otherwise, just as there is no butter in water and yogurt, the difference that yogurt can produce butter but water cannot cannot be found. If the cause is not empty of its own effect, how can it self-produce the effect? It does not produce it. Because the existing effect will not arise again, like Devadatta who has a son. Fifth, is the arising of the effect the arising of the non-empty or the empty that is self-existent? To this, if it is the non-empty that is self-existent, then it will not arise, because it is not dependent arising, but is self-existent. Like that
