It is nominally posited, but it is not unreal because it is not established by its own nature. Then, for some trainees, all these containers and contents are true and real in relation to children; in relation to the wisdom following the noble ones, they are untrue and false. Thus it is taught. The truth and falsehood here are also said to deceive or not to deceive by dwelling or not dwelling in one's own nature at the second time of self-establishment. For some who have long been accustomed to the profound view in previous lives, but who in this life have not slightly abandoned the obscurations of holding to be true due to the influence of philosophical tenets, in order to abandon even that slight obscuration, just as the daughter of Moshang does not exist, so her blue and white cannot be examined. The untrue changes from moment to moment, and is not established by its own nature, and the true is also not unchanging from moment to moment. Thus both are negated. Because the basis for calculating whether or not change exists is not established by its own nature. Thus, at the first time, except for the impermanence of the extreme of permanence, the true, which does not change from moment to moment, is accepted, and the Dharma is taught to generate faith in the teacher. At the second time, the untrue, which changes from moment to moment, is accepted, and the Dharma is taught to reverse subtle clinging to permanence. At the third time, in relation to both the knower and the known, the Dharma of both the categories of true and untrue, which change or do not change from moment to moment, is taught. At the fourth time, the Dharma of emptiness is taught, because both permanence and impermanence are devoid of their own nature from moment to moment. This is the teaching that turns away from the wrong path and establishes it on the good path. It is also taught gradually, so it is a subsequent teaching, or it is taught in accordance with the minds of the trainees, so it is a subsequent teaching. The Victorious Ones do not speak of what is not a means of entering the nectar of Suchness, but teach the Dharma in accordance with the trainees, just as storing up medicine that is compatible with the disease, as it is said in the Hundred Treatises: "Existence and non-existence, and existence and non-existence, Both are also taught as not being either. Because of the power of disease, Does everything not turn into medicine?" Buddhapalita said: "Just as in the world it is famous as both true and untrue, the teacher also speaks in this way, that is, the world."

It is due to the terms of convention, and the negation of both right and wrong is due to the ultimate; or both right and wrong, that is, the existence or non-existence of the fruit at the time of the cause and the arising of both, the Buddha's teaching on this is to negate the extremes of existence and non-existence, and it is merely established from causes and conditions. Therefore, those who wish to see that reality should not be attached to what is said in terms of worldly conventions, but should grasp that reality, as it is said. The fourth part has two points: the nature of reality for the noble ones, and the nature of reality for the worldly ones. The first point is: what is the nature of that reality that is taught in order to gradually introduce it? Since it has already been said in "what is to be said is to be rejected," what is there to ask? If so, according to the worldly accepted terms, should we add superimposition to the truth of convention and explain its nature? In the commentary, it says that we must add superimposition and explain its nature, which should be understood as being guided through the path of verbal concepts. It is not that we are adding superimposition as it is not, as it has already been explained in the fifteenth chapter of the Differentiation of the Middle and the Extremes. In order to eliminate wrong conceptions, the first of the five characteristics that are taught is that it is not known from others, that is, it is not to be understood merely by being shown by others, but is to be realized by oneself through uncontaminated wisdom. For example, when a person with blurred vision sees hair, even if someone without blurred vision points out that this appearance is not the nature of hair, the person with blurred vision cannot realize that the appearance is not the nature of hair. The person with blurred vision cannot realize it in the same way as someone without blurred vision sees the absence of hair. He can only understand that it is not real hair, but merely an inverted appearance. When the eye medicine that removes blurred vision is applied, and the blurred vision disappears, he will realize the nature of the hair-like appearance in the space in a way that he does not see the hair-like appearance. Similarly, although the noble ones show reality through the way of superimposition, ordinary people cannot realize it in the same way as seeing the nature of reality with uncontaminated wisdom. Only when the eye of wisdom is applied with the eye medicine of seeing the meaning of emptiness without inversion can the blurred vision of ignorance be removed.
