Furthermore, ultimate truth is like a dream, and nirvana is also like a dream. Whichever wise person practices in this way, that is said to be the supreme discipline of the mind. As it is said, the truth of cessation is like a dream, and nirvana is also of the nature of a dream. Whichever Bodhisattva enters into speech, that is said to be the discipline of speech. If one contemplates the meaning of no self-nature in the mind, that is the discipline of the mind, and if one speaks it in words, that is the supreme discipline of speech, because discipline is the abandonment of what should be abandoned, and it uproots all faults. Thus, it is contemplated. The second part has two parts: jointly refuting that bondage and liberation exist by their own nature; refuting them separately. The first part: If you refute samsara and nirvana, but bondage and liberation exist by their own nature, therefore things exist by their own nature, if that is the case, then here, afflictions such as attachment cause beings to be involuntarily bound, therefore it is established that those who are bound and the ordinary beings bound by them do not transcend the three realms. If attachment etc. are considered to be bondage, then bondage is permanent. The unreasonableness is obvious, therefore temporarily, for phenomena that are subject to arising and ceasing, momentary conditioned phenomena are not bound, that is to say, bondage does not exist by its own nature, because it is not reasonable for permanent and momentary phenomena as before. For them, becoming liberated is also not by its own nature, the reason is as before. As before, it is unreasonable for conditioned phenomena to have bondage and liberation, in the same way, sentient beings are also not bound or liberated. Or according to the order of what is said about permanence and impermanence, not revolving and not transcending. The second part has two parts: refuting that bondage exists by its own nature; refuting that liberation exists by its own nature. The first part: If you refute bondage and liberation for conditioned phenomena and sentient beings, but since attachment etc. taking hold becomes bondage, therefore bondage also exists by its own nature, if that is the case, if taking hold exists by its own nature as the cause of bondage, then it will not go beyond two possibilities. That is to say, for taking hold that has bondage such as attachment, it will not become bondage, that is to say, bondage does not exist by its own nature. If it exists, then for it, there must be another cause of bondage, then binding again is meaningless. The binder and the bound

If the nature of action is established, then the act of binding, "this is bound," and the act of binding, "with this it is bound," must be two different things. What has already been bound must be bound again, which is similar to the reasoning explained in the eighth chapter. What is not closely taken is also not bound, because it is free from binding, like the Tathagata. If that is the case, then something that has become a certain state will be bound? It will not change. Furthermore, just as fetters and other binders exist beforehand, and then the bound is bound, if before the bound, binding, attachment, etc., have been established, then does it depend on the binder, the formative element, or the person? It does not, because without a basis, attachment, etc., are not established. And if binding has been established beforehand, then later there is no need to be connected with the bound. For the bound that is established as other in nature from the binder, there is no need for binding again. The remaining refutation of this is shown by changing the statement of going and not going, and preventing walking. That is, what is temporarily bound does not bind, etc., combine it in this way. Second, if you have blocked binding, but liberation exists, and without binding there is no liberation, so binding also exists, if you say so. If liberation exists by its own nature, then where does it exist? What is temporarily bound will not be liberated, because liberation does not exist by its own nature, because it is bound. If what was previously bound, relying on the means of cultivating the path, will later be liberated, so the bound itself has the nature of liberation, if you say so. Then it will only become that what is bound is not liberation, but what is bound will be liberated. If you think that what was previously bound, in the later time, the time of liberation is close to the present, so it is said like that. If liberation exists by its own nature, then it can be allowed to be close to it, but having blocked binding, when you want to show that liberation does not exist by its own nature, the time when liberation exists by its own nature is not close to the present. Moreover, a sentient being who has not been bound by afflictions will also not have liberation by nature, because if it is liberation itself, then what else does he need to be liberated from again? Because it still needs to rely on liberation again. An Arhat who has already been liberated also has binding, so he will be bound. If you think what is this kind of reasoning, then liberat
