If it is established as true, then its emptiness Is effortlessly established as true, and if it is not established as true, then for the same reason, its nature becomes untrue. Therefore, speaking contrary to these is not the view of any of one's own sects, high or low, so it is only to be abandoned. The Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra says: When and where there is nothing, the object to be examined is not found, at that time the non-thing is without support, how does it exist before the mind? It is said that it is not showing the object of negation as the support of negation, but that if the thing is not established as true, then the emptiness of non-thing has no true support. Secondly, there are two: explaining the meaning of the text and showing the source of what was said. Firstly, if the Bhagavan spoke of the three doors of liberation, emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, in order to liberate sentient beings, then because it is not common with the tirthikas, one should only focus on the words of the Sugata. You are now using the cunning means of explaining the scriptures to abandon emptiness, which is cutting off the path of higher realms and liberation, so arguing with you is enough. Alas, it is extremely perverse, having abandoned the straight path to the city of liberation, and instead clinging to the truth of things and non-things, entangled by illusion, going to the wilderness of samsara, you think that is the path to liberation. You should be condemned by the holy ones, but instead you slander the holy ones, hey, great king of medicine, the victorious ones have said that emptiness is the view, it is definitely liberated from all clinging to truth, therefore all objects of true view are just reversed. Reversal is also not existent by its own nature. Therefore, those who think that emptiness exists by its own nature are said to be incorrigible. This is like saying to you, I have nothing to give you, and you say, please give me that thing that I have nothing, just as the two teachers said, there is no way to make the other person cling to the fact that they have nothing. The other person says, I have nothing to give you

Because the words were spoken in order to generate the thought that there is nothing, it is not that that thought cannot be generated, but that the thought that the absence of things is the only thing cannot be generated. Similarly, when showing that things are not inherently existent, it is not that one cannot think that these are empty of truth, but that one cannot think that this emptiness of things is true. Therefore, even if one thinks that all phenomena are empty, it cannot be restored, and what this treatise wants to express is great nonsense without investigation. Both teachers say that viewing emptiness means clinging to emptiness as a real thing, which is clinging to emptiness as true, or clinging to emptiness as inherently existent, let alone merely thinking that it is without self-nature? The commentary on the Hundred Treatises also says that if the word emptiness has anything established by its own nature, then things will have self-nature, but it is not the case. "If emptiness is not without emptiness, from where does it arise? Just as the other side, without it, the antidote arises." It is said, and this treatise is also quoted in its explanation. In the past, the Shravaka school admitted that emptiness was truly existent, and both the former and latter treatises refuted this point, so it is absolutely impossible to merely refute the existence of selflessness. In this way, if the meaning of the treatise is misunderstood, it will be slandered that the ultimate truth does not exist, and even if it does exist, if one cultivates a definite understanding of this, it will be considered clinging to characteristics, thus becoming a great obstacle to cultivating the view of truly ascertaining the true meaning. Secondly, the source of the sutra mentioned in this treatise is the Kashyapa Chapter of the Ratnakuta Sutra: "If it is not by emptiness that phenomena are emptied, but phenomena themselves are empty, if it is not by signlessness that phenomena are signless, but phenomena themselves are signless, if it is not by wishlessness that phenomena are wishless, but phenomena themselves are wishless, whoever discriminates in that way, Kashyapa, that is truly discriminating phenomena with the Middle Way. Kashyapa, whoever
