Since there is no destruction, suffering ceases to be created by oneself. The second line (means) that suffering itself ceases suffering itself, and the latter two lines (mean) that since there is no "self" other than suffering, suffering ceases to be created by others. The second (situation) is: if it is thought that although suffering does not exist separately, it does exist when the two are combined. Just as a wheel, etc., cannot be called a chariot separately, but is called a chariot depending on the collection of parts, it would be reasonable to say so. But here, if one does not kill separately, one cannot say that these two have killed together. Therefore, if suffering is created separately by oneself and others, then even if suffering is created by the combination of the two, it does not exist separately, because it has been previously prevented. As mentioned above, if suffering is not created by me, nor by others, how can suffering arise without cause? It will not, like the fragrance of a flower in the sky. Therefore, since the nature of suffering does not exist, the nature of the "self" on which it depends does not exist either. The second (situation) is: In this way, not only does the suffering of inner sentient beings not have the four situations of being created by me, etc., but also all external objects, such as land, seedlings, bottles, felt, etc., do not have the four situations of being created by me, etc., and should be understood as previously stated. If these internal and external things do not have the four situations of being created by me, etc., then these things must exist, and by what means are they established? In this regard, if we consider it from the perspective of searching for whether these things exist by their own nature, if these things such as suffering exist by their own nature, then one of the four situations such as being created by me must be established. But as mentioned before, since it does not exist, it can be determined that suffering, etc., does not exist by its own nature, because the pervasive is impossible. However, if one finds oneself existing merely through inversion, which is the conventional establishment of dependent origination of suffering, etc., then abandon the four situations such as being created by me, and rely solely on the conditions in the manner of explaining the eight distinctions.

Therefore, it should be acknowledged that it exists by virtue of its establishment. As it is said: Suffering is created by me, created by others, and created by both. The notion of causelessness is a delusion. You say it arises dependently. As it is said. In Buddhapālita it is also said: If there is no suffering, how is it that the teacher said to Light Protector, 'There is suffering, I know suffering, I see suffering'? Who says there is no suffering? Did I not say that therefore it does not arise dependently? Therefore, I say that suffering is dependent arising, and I do not say that it is self-created, etc. As it is said. Therefore, it is explicitly refuted by the reason that what is created by oneself is dependent arising, and both commentaries say that what is created by others is also refuted by it, and therefore what is created by both is also refuted by it. It is very clear that arising without a cause is refuted by that reason, so it is necessary to undoubtedly acknowledge the order of dependent arising and cause and effect. By this, it is shown that all actions are reasonable only in the absence of inherent existence, having refuted existence by its own nature. It is very important to understand this from beginning to end. If it is held that the order of cause and effect and dependent arising is refuted by the reasoning that examines whether it is established or not, since there is no place to acknowledge the nature of cause and effect, then for that one, subtle selflessness is not shown, but coarse selflessness is shown and then guided, as it is said. Secondly, in this way, it is also shown that the fact that phenomena are created by themselves, by others, and by both, and that causelessness is refuted, is established by profound scriptural authority. And, in order to show that all the scriptures that teach in this way are explained by this treatise, I will briefly mention the aspect of combining with the definitive meaning scripture. In the Samādhirāja Sūtra it says: The Victorious One teaches the Dharma in conventional truth, look at it in this way, conditioned and unconditioned. In reality, there is no self and no person, the characteristics of all beings are like this. Virtuous and non-virtuous actions do not perish, what I have done, I will experience. The fruit of actions does not transfer, nor is it experienced without a cause. All existences are like illusions, without power, accumulating and dissipating like bubbles. Like illusions, like mirages.
