After it is established, if it is established, then it is established by the reasoning of direct perception that it can coexist with the realization of the reality of the four noble truths, and the realization of the reality of the four noble truths, which is the exhaustion of the self-grasping of phenomena and the collection of one, is called omniscience. These principles are only a partial explanation of the establishment of liberation and omniscience by direct perception. One should measure these principles and comprehend everything. One should not speak rashly that liberation and omniscience are extremely obscure, so the reason for their establishment is limited to scripture alone. Otherwise, one will not generate unwavering conviction in one's own teacher and doctrine that cannot be taken away by others, and one will also become a slanderer of the immaculate reasoning of the commentators. Because, if these are not established by direct perception, then the arguments based on scripture will also not be able to be established. Therefore, if one can well generate conviction from the detailed explanations of the great lords, father and son (Tsongkhapa and his disciples), on how to establish the teacher, the doctrine, the Dharma, and the Sangha who practice accordingly, by direct perception, and wholeheartedly rely on them and take refuge well, then in the future, one will not be deprived of faith in the teacher's doctrine by others, one will be able to transcend doubt, transcend hesitation, etc. Therefore, those who wish to attain liberation should first make great efforts in this. Third, in the establishment of the two truths, first establish the place of doubt, then explain the answer in detail, and finally the establishment of the two truths themselves. First, establish the place of doubt that arises in the enlightened, and establish the place of doubt that arises in those who do not have subtle analytical wisdom. The first is that generalities and particulars, signs and probanda, examples, etc., as well as negation and affirmation, one and different, etc., are also often said to be established by conceptual thought. If generality is established, then it pervades being established by conceptual thought, and similarly, signs, etc., also pervade. Then, for the fruit, for the mundane things needed to benefit beings, and for the most desired omniscience, etc., there will be no place to make an establishment. If this is the case, it will become a great fault, so one must acknowledge these establishments without confusion.

Thus pondering: If it is said that the self-nature of things is established by the perfection of the ground, the conformity of universals, and so on, then how can the aggregation of these two be refuted? In particular, if the conceptual thought that grasps a pot and the definitive thought that ascertains omniscience, and so on, have their objects of determination established as self-characteristics, then those conceptual thoughts will not become mistaken, so all negation and affirmation must be done simultaneously. If the objects of determination are negated as being established as self-characteristics, then the way to establish those self-characteristics as objects of determination is extremely difficult, and if they do not become objects of determination, then they cannot become certain existents, so all arrangements will become impossible. As it is said, "Without that, what can establish things and the arrangements of non-things?" Therefore, it is sufficient that the objects of determination of conceptual thought are not established as self-characteristics, and that self-characteristics are established as objects of determination of conceptual thought. Appearance and imputation are mixed together, so it is not just once that it is said that conceptual thought engages with objects, and that it engages by clinging to its own appearances as if they were meaningful. If all conceptual thoughts engage by clinging to their own grasped aspects as external objects, and if they cling to their own appearances as if they were external objects, then all conceptual thoughts will become mistaken about the objects they cling to, so nothing can be trusted. Thus pondering, what is the way to mix appearance and imputation together? If the objects of determination of conceptual thought are things, then sound conceptual thought will engage with objects without relying on cutting off what is to be negated, and if that is the case, then all negation and affirmation must be done simultaneously. Thus pondering, how can those arrangements be unerring? Secondly, it is also seen that the sign, the object to be proven, and the conformity of universals, and so on, are explained as non-things, and lacking the power of intelligence to properly distinguish their differences, arrangements are made in this way: If the objects of conceptual thought are not established as ultimately true, then ultimate truth is contradictory to the objects of conceptual thought. Thus pondering, in the place where doubts arise for the wise, they are determined without doubt, and all conceptual thoughts engage with arrogance. It is impossible to take the reality of things as objects, and when engaging with objects, they also engage by clinging to their own appearances as if they were external objects, so they are only wrong knowledge. Apart from sound conceptual thought, it is impossible to make terms, so those who make arrangements of self-characteristics, apart from relying on the conceptual thought that grasps a snake on a variegated rope, cannot establish the variegated rope as a snake.
