Since it is necessary to examine that all things are without inherent existence, if so, the examination would become endless, if you say so. Then, for the valid cognition that realizes all dharmas as being without inherent existence, it does not need another valid cognition to examine its own lack of inherent existence, because the object of examination, all dharmas, have been examined as being without inherent existence. For the valid cognition that examines the lack of inherent existence, as long as its clinging has not disappeared, it must be examined again for its lack of inherent existence, because the consciousness that establishes inherent existence as the basis of dependence does not exist in its presence. For the person who realizes that all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, after realization, as long as the realization has not disappeared, there will be no examination of "is this truly established or not established," because there is no such basis from the root. Because as soon as such a thought arises, the thought of "this is not truly existent" will arise immediately. Even if all dharmas are realized as being without inherent existence, but if this consciousness itself also needs another valid cognition to examine its lack of inherent existence, then you will fall into the fault of endlessness. If another examiner is needed, then it will become the place of the remaining imputed clinging to inherent existence, because all manifest imputed clinging to inherent existence has already been refuted by the previous valid cognition. Because the inherent existence of the basis of dependence does not exist, both the object to be refuted and the refutation will not arise naturally, this is also called the Nirvana of inherent nature, from realizing this meaning and becoming familiar with it, one can also obtain the sudden liberation from defilements Nirvana. The third point is that, according to the view of anyone who asserts the existence of things, it is very difficult for these two, things and consciousness, to be truly established, because there is no reason to establish it. If you say that because this consciousness and valid cognition are truly established, the meaning of truly established can be established, then for the consciousness that has true establishment, what valid cognition exists as a support? Because there is no self-awareness. If it is cognized by another consciousness, then it will become endless. If you say that consciousness is established because the knowable and the measurable are manifestly established as being truly existent, then for the existence of the knowable, what valid cognition establishes it as a support? Therefore, the two, things and consciousness, exist in dependence on each other, therefore it will become very clear that neither of them is established by inherent nature, just like long and short, this shore and the other shore. If there is no son, the father will not exist, because

Because there is no establisher. If there is no father, then from where does this son arise? Because there is no cause. Without a son, there is no father, because these two are mutually dependent, so they are not real, just like meaning and wisdom are not real either. If it is said that sprouts arise from seeds that are naturally formed, and seeds are recognized from the correct characteristics of the sprouts themselves, that is, they can be inferred, just as the wisdom that arises from knowable objects, the truly established knowledge, the truly established meaning exists, why can't it be recognized? It should be recognized. This is unreasonable. Even if one sees a sprout through a valid cognition that is different from the sprout, and then recognizes that there is a seed, from which valid cognition is the existence of the wisdom that cognizes the knowable object recognized? Because self-awareness has already been refuted, and you have not accepted other means of cognition either. Third, in order to establish the reasons for proving selflessness, there are the diamond sliver reason, the dependent origination reason, and the existence and non-existence arising and ceasing reason. First, there is the refutation of arising without a cause, the refutation of arising from a permanent other cause, the refutation of arising from a permanent principle (primal matter), the summary of the meaning of refuting no cause, and the refutation of arising from both self and other. First, the Lokayatas and others say that the colorful feathers of peacocks, etc., have not been seen to be made by anything. The roughness and softness of lotus petals, etc., and the sharpness of thorns, etc., have not been made by any maker, so they arise from their own nature. This is unreasonable. For a moment, worldly appearances show that for most things, such as barley, both inside and outside, one can see that there are causes that produce them. The color of the lotus stem and the number of petals, etc., the differences in the fruit are produced by the differences in the causes, and if one asks what produces the differences in the causes, then it is the differences in the previous causes themselves. Why can different causes produce different fruits? There is no fault in not being able to produce fruits in this way. Because by the power of the previous causes, different causes can each produce different fruits. Therefore, these things, dharmata, are not without cause, because they arise at certain times and places.
