Other than that, even the slightest joy is just tiny. If asked, even the slightest happiness does not go beyond the definition of happiness, so if it is said to be a slight happiness, it must be happiness. If there is happiness, there will be suffering, etc. In order to avoid such faults, suppose that when happiness arises from delicious food, etc., because the cause of happiness that contradicts suffering has arisen. If someone asks, 'Was there no suffering at that time?' Then, hasn't it been established that the feeling of happiness and suffering is merely what is apprehended and labeled by conceptual thought? Because the same food, due to the power of conceptual thought, is labeled as the cause of both happiness and suffering. Third, because feeling itself is not established by its own nature, therefore, in order to counteract this clinging to feeling as true, one should cultivate this analytical investigation of understanding that feeling has no self-nature, that is, the superior insight that arises from the field of conceptual labeling and analysis, and based on calm abiding and superior insight, cultivate the meditation of superior insight,

Because there is no penetration, because there is no space between those particles, and because their volumes are equal. This explains why self cannot meet with all things in all respects. It is pervasive because particles do not interpenetrate or merge with each other, there is no mixing, and there is no part that is unmixed, therefore there is no meeting. How can it be reasonable to say that there is meeting for something that has no parts? It is impossible. If you see that meeting and something without parts exist, please show it, but it cannot be shown. Secondly, for consciousness that has no form, meeting is inherently unreasonable, because it has no form. Negating meeting for coarse things: For coarse things composed of unaggregated particles, meeting is also inherently non-existent. Because there is no true thing in it, just as before, how the collection of parts was analyzed and its inherent existence was negated. Thirdly, as mentioned before, if the meeting between object, faculty, and consciousness is inherently non-existent, then touch is also inherently non-existent, and if touch does not exist, then how can feeling truly arise? Because a false cause cannot produce a true result. If feeling is inherently non-existent, then what is the point of effort or diligence for it? Because it is meaningless. If it is thought that effort is for abandoning the feeling of suffering that inherently exists, it is unreasonable, because what thing will harm whom? Because the feeling of suffering is inherently non-existent. In this world, there is only happiness that is obtained through remedy, but there is no self-nature like suffering. Happiness also has no self-nature. For example, when threatened by cold and staying in the sun, the suffering of cold is slightly reduced, and the experience of peace experienced at that moment is the feeling of happiness. But even at that time, there is still the suffering of being threatened by cold. As soon as that suffering disappears, the suffering of heat begins immediately. Therefore, suffering is needed as the basis for attaching to happiness, and happiness is not needed as the basis for the arising of the thought of suffering. Just like blue and length. If one realizes that feeling is inherently non-existent, then it is shown that craving will cease.

When there is nothing that is inherently established as the feeler, and the feeling that is experienced is also not inherently established, if one understands this, then when seeing this state of the feeling and the feeler not being inherently established, why would craving not cease? Because the craving to obtain happiness and the craving to be separated from suffering are driven by the power of clinging to reality. Third, whether it is seen by eye consciousness or touched by body consciousness, all objects from which feelings arise are inherently empty, and the nature of feelings is like dreams and illusions, so feelings are also without inherent existence. Fourth, because feelings arise simultaneously with the mind, feelings are not seen by the mind's own nature, because they are different things, existing simultaneously and without connection. What arises before or after feelings is only a memory of feelings, not an experience, because at that time, feelings have ceased or have not yet arisen. Summary of the meaning: Feelings do not experience their own nature, because self-awareness is obstructed by being blocked. Nor are they experienced by other things that are inherently established, because there is no connection between the experiencer and the experienced. Not only is the feeler not inherently established, but there is also no inherently established existence of the feeler itself, because it has already been refuted in the context of refuting the self of a person. Therefore, feelings are not truly existent, and in this way, for this collection of aggregates without self, which is not inherently established, the feeling of happiness is helpful, and suffering brings harm, but suffering itself is also not inherently established, so feelings are also not inherently established, so one should strive to cultivate mindfulness of feelings. Third, when cultivating mindfulness of the mind, first it is necessary to explain that mind consciousness is not inherently established, and then to explain that the five consciousnesses are also not inherently established. First, the mind is not inherently established, because the six faculties are also not inherently existent, the six objects such as form are also not inherently existent, and the mind also does not exist between the six faculties and the six objects, that is, it does not exist in the collection of the two, as stated in the "Entering the Middle Way," one should remember the sevenfold chariot analogy. The non-Buddhists believe that the inner agent is the purusha.
