As long as the assembly of causes and conditions of confusion, such as unclearness, exists, the body appears like a born person. Similarly, as long as the hand and other limbs have their own assembly of causes and conditions, the limbs exist, and the body appears, the thought arises that the body is inherently established. Secondly, just as the body of a person is established in dependence on the assembly of limbs and is not truly existent, so too, since the hand is established in dependence on the assembly of bones and fingers, how could it be inherently established? It is impossible. The fingers are also established in dependence on the assembly of joints, therefore they are not inherently established. If the joints are analyzed by dividing them into their own parts and parts, they are not inherently established. The parts of the joints are also divided into atoms. If divided, they are not inherently established. If the atoms are divided by the distinctions of directions such as east, they are established in dependence on multiple directional components, therefore they are not inherently established. If the directional components are divided, they are also not inherently established, because they lack inherently established components, like space. Therefore, atoms are also not inherently established. If they were, it would be necessary to accept indivisible atoms, which would be refuted by reasoning such as "when six are joined simultaneously." Thirdly, in this way, when analyzing dream-like forms, they appear to be solid, but when analyzed, since they are not inherently established, who with wisdom would be attached? One should not be attached, because there is no real object to be attached to. Fourthly, when the body of a person is not inherently established, where would there be an inherently established man or woman? That is to say, there is no inherently established person. According to the view of this treatise, merely negating an independent person is not sufficient to fully realize the selflessness of the person. For this, it is necessary to realize that there is no person who is not merely established through names and concepts. The realization of the two selflessnesses is neither difficult nor easy. Because for the person and aggregates as the basis, there is no distinction between coarse and subtle of substantially existent and imputedly existent, and for the self to be negated, there is no distinction between coarse and subtle differences.

Therefore, it should be known that arguing about whether or not a Hearer-Solitary Realizer Arya has realized the selflessness of phenomena, having made the assertion that they have realized the selflessness of persons in an unreasonable manner, is unfounded. Second, regarding feeling, memory, mindfulness, and meditation, first, the inherent existence of feeling itself is refuted, second, the inherent existence of the cause is refuted, third, the inherent existence of the object is refuted, and fourth, the inherent existence of the object-possessor of feeling is refuted. First, feeling is not inherently existent suffering, and feeling is not inherently existent happiness. Therefore, it is taught to abide in the yoga of meditating on the absence of inherent existence of feeling. First, just like the body, feeling is also shown to be without inherent existence. If the suffering to be experienced and the feeling that experiences are the same entity, then why, on the same consciousness, if feeling is inherently existent suffering, should it not change into something else, and why would it not harm great joy and happiness, because it would harm, so there would be no opportunity to generate happiness, it must arise. Because arising is seen, the former is not inherently existent. Second, if happiness is also inherently existent, then for someone who is suffering from grief due to the death of a son, etc., when they eat delicious food, etc., their mind should not feel joy, but should feel happiness. Because delicious food, etc., generates inherently existent happiness. Someone says, even though happiness arises at the time of suffering from grief, if that happiness is not experienced because it is overwhelmed by the power of suffering? Whatever is not of the nature of being experienced, how could that be feeling happiness? Because it has not been experienced. Similarly, the same answer can be applied to the case where powerful happiness overwhelms inherently existent suffering. If, when powerful happiness arises, feeling suffering is only a tiny part, and a little bit is experienced, it is not completely unexperienced, then if feeling has a tiny bit of suffering, what harm does this powerful happiness do to the suffering, so that it abides in experiencing powerful happiness? Hasn't this powerful happiness eliminated the grossness of this suffering? It should be thought so. That tiny suffering is great happiness
