O Mother! The view that considering the clinging to persons and aggregates as afflictions is also the view of this teacher. If you want to know in detail, you should learn it from the great commentary on the Madhyamakavatara composed by Je Tsongkhapa himself. At the end of this text, there are three shlokas, such as "Whatever speech belongs to the Sutra Pitaka," which seem to want to show the reasoning for establishing the Great Vehicle as the words of the Buddha, but before "Tantric Root Bhikshu," there are words like "glory." The great commentary Khenpo says that he does not know the place of entry and that it is not the teacher's text. In any case, the meaning is that whatever speech teaches the training of higher mind, it belongs to the Sutra Pitaka. Whatever teaches the training of morality, it appears in the Vinaya. If whatever teaches the training of wisdom does not contradict the Abhidharma, it is considered the word of the Buddha. Then, since most of the Great Vehicle sutras also teach the three trainings, why is it not considered the word of the Buddha? If you establish the definition of the Buddha's words, and because you have not fully understood it, you use one sutra as a reason, and if you admit that all the Great Vehicle sutras have faults, then the Lesser Vehicle sutra that you think meets the definition of the Buddha's words, since the definition is the same as what you think is a sutra, why do you not think that all the Great Vehicle sutras were spoken by the Victorious Ones? If the Extensive Mother Sutra, etc., are the Buddha's words, then if the great Kashyapa and others did not understand what it expresses, do you say that it is not the Buddha's words? Because you have not understood the very profound that the great Kashyapa and others think is difficult to fathom, who would say that it should not be accepted as the Buddha's words? It is not appropriate to do so, that is the meaning. The second point is that the accomplishment of non-abiding nirvana necessarily depends on the realization of emptiness. For the sake of those suffering sentient beings who, because they are deluded about the truth of persons and aggregates, wander in samsara, like ordinary beings, they cling to the aggregates as true, and under the power of karma and afflictions, they wander in samsara, falling into the extreme of permanence; and like the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, because they are afraid of the suffering of samsara, they only cut off the arising in existence, and they make the nirvana that arises from this as something to be attained, falling into the extreme of annihilation. In order to be liberated from both of these extremes, the noble Bodhisattvas, due to the power of great compassion, abide in samsara, and this will accomplish the emptiness.

It is the fruit of realization. If separated from the realization of emptiness, even if one remains in samsara by the power of compassion, one will experience the self-nature suffering of samsara and become weary of it, eventually falling into the extreme of annihilation. Third, therefore, refuting the side of emptiness as previously stated is not reasonable, because the reasoning that will be explained below will also cause harm. Therefore, even those who wish to attain the enlightenment of hearers and solitary realizers should cultivate emptiness without hesitation, because the afflictive ignorance that clings to reality is the root of samsara. If its object of attachment is not removed, it is impossible to attain liberation. Emptiness is also the antidote to the darkness of the afflictive obscurations and the obscurations of knowledge, so how can those who desire to quickly exhaust the two obscurations and attain omniscience not cultivate emptiness? If separated from it, one cannot even abandon the seeds of the afflictive obscurations. The seeds of the obscurations of knowledge are the ultimate habitual tendencies of afflictions, and the manifestation is the appearance of things appearing as real, etc., but if it appears as real, it is pervasive with the obscurations of knowledge, etc., which should not be the case. Summarizing the meaning: If one does not cultivate emptiness because one is afraid of its meaning, then one should be afraid and fearful of the object of clinging to reality, which is the main factor in generating the suffering of samsara, but how can fear arise towards the wisdom that realizes emptiness, which pacifies the suffering of samsara? One should not be afraid, because it is the destroyer of fear. If there were some self-established self, then fear could arise from clinging to it, no matter what the object is, but since there is no self-established self at all, who is the one who feels fear? One should turn the mind inward with the wisdom of thinking about self-nature, etc., and understand selflessness, thereby being liberated from all fears. Third, elaborately explaining the reasoning for establishing emptiness, which is divided into: elaborately explaining the reasoning for establishing the selflessness of persons and elaborately explaining the reasoning for establishing the selflessness of phenomena. The first part is further divided into: refuting the object of attachment of innate self-grasping and conceptual
