One should promise not to eat ghosts. If it is not like that, isn't it in accordance with conventional truth? Therefore, this will become the ultimate truth and will not become the conventional truth. When analyzing with reason, it is not that only tears and so on do not exist. Then what is it? Through the reason that will be explained, form, feeling, and so on also do not exist, so it should be promised that they, like tears and so on, do not exist in conventional truth, but that is not the case, so this does not exist. It is said that the way to establish what is imputed based on dependence needs to be understood from the "Entering the Middle Way". Therefore, if, after analyzing as before, the meaning found is established as existing in name, then what is established by the reason that analyzes whether it is established or not, that does not exist in the conventional, but will become existing in the ultimate, thus showing that if it is established by its own characteristics, then it is established in the ultimate. Then, in the two truths: "As it appears, for the sake of its own nature, analysis should not be applied here. If one analyzes separately, the meaning will become other, and thus harm will be caused." Just as it is said, do the Svatantrika Madhyamikas not also prevent analyzing the meanings of conventional truths with reason and then establishing them on the meanings found? What is your characteristic that what exists in name is not established on the meaning analyzed by reason? This is a dispute arising from not distinguishing the difference between the two Madhyamika schools, by what kind of analysis is analyzed, and thus analyzing whether it is established or not. The Prasangikas believe that merely analyzing as before is enough to analyze whether it is established or not, because the scriptures quoted earlier and the existing things have also been said many times to be merely names, terms, and conventions. The meaning of the name is merely that, as before, it cannot be found when searching for the meaning of the convention, and it does not refer to having a name but no meaning, or having no meaning that is not a name. Here, although it is not believed that everything established by the mind that establishes the name convention exists in the convention, it is not believed that the convention that is not established by the power of the mind that establishes the convention exists. The Svatantrika Madhyamikas cannot establish form, feeling, and so on through the mind that establishes the convention, but they believe that they can establish existence in the convention through the way they appear to harmless sense consciousnesses and so on.

There is also a great difference in the wisdom of whether or not it is established by the wise through wisdom. Unlike being established by wisdom in that way, it is desired to examine whether or not it is established from the perspective of the nature of the Dharma itself, such as examining existence or non-existence. Because they do not want just the method of examination mentioned earlier, they assert that in conventional terms, it is established by its own characteristics. Therefore, in the scriptures, it is also inconsistent what the word "only" cuts off when it says that worldly names are merely expressions and designations. So, would worldly people also ask whether they come or not, are born or not, etc.? If asked in that way, is it not permissible to say that they have come and are born? The way of searching and the way of examining here are very different from before. This is because, for the one who goes and comes and the designation of going and coming, they are not satisfied with merely designating it that way, but rather think about what the meaning of those designations is, and do not ask about going and coming in that way. It is because they have made an arbitrary examination of the arbitrary use of the term going and coming, so what contradiction is there in acknowledging that examination? In that way, examining the meaning of the term and grasping that there is a nature established by its own characteristics is not the way of grasping of innate self-grasping. It is the innate that binds sentient beings to samsara, so reason mainly needs to refute that, so what is its way of grasping? That is, external and internal dharmas are not merely established by the power of names, but rather grasp that they exist from the aspect of their own essence. Among them, if one grasps in that way for the person of offerings and so on, it is the self-grasping of the person, and if one grasps in that way for the eyes, ears, and so on, it is the self-grasping of dharmas, and from this one should also know the two selves. Although grasping in this way is not grasping by examining what the meaning of the term is, if the meaning of that grasping exists, then how does the place of designation where that term is established exist? When examining, the examiner must find it. Therefore, the innate self-grasping that has not been examined, together with its object, is the main object to be refuted by reason, and it is also not contradictory that all the scriptures refute after examining, so do not think that only the grasping of the completely imputed, together with its object, is refuted. Some people whose minds have not been changed by tenets and who do not understand words.
