The key is that the two kinds of self-grasping are different, and the ways of liberation from various obscurations by seeing selflessness are also different. The differences between the correct and incorrect should be understood as explained before. If the alaya-vijñana is not accepted, it is difficult to explain how the establishment, existence, and essence of karmic imprints are. Although it needs to be explained, it cannot be exhausted if it is brief, and it is not elaborated for fear of being too extensive. Because the ways of establishing the two truths on persons and phenomena are different, the selflessness of the two is also different. Therefore, the greater and lesser vehicles have different characteristics in terms of whether they realize them or not, and the two kinds of self-grasping and the two kinds of obscurations also arise differently from other schools. Secondly, since the way of establishing persons and phenomena is as before, persons such as stream-enterers exist in conventional truth, while persons such as those in hell do not exist. It is not possible to distinguish this difference, because they are the same in ultimate truth and the same in conventional truth. Similarly, for the phenomena of aggregates, elements, and sense bases, it is not possible to distinguish that form does not exist while mind and mental factors exist, because existence and non-existence are the same in both truths. On this, other Madhyamikas say that external objects and consciousness exist together, while some Madhyamikas and Yogacarins say that consciousness exists while external objects do not. All these are only saying that if it exists, it exists by its own nature, and if it does not exist, it does not exist because it is not established by its own nature. This school also believes that it is impossible for external objects to be established by their own nature, but on this point, there is disagreement as to whether external objects need to not exist. Therefore, in general, if one can understand that any phenomenon can be established as existing even though it is not established by its own nature, one can understand well the reason why it is impossible to distinguish the existence or non-existence of consciousness. If one cannot understand it, one will fall into difficulties. Therefore, by negating the partless atom, because the atom does not exist, the grossness accumulated by it also does not exist. Because both the subtle and the gross do not exist, external objects do not exist, and so on. Although the reason can negate the partless of external objects, it cannot negate the existence of external objects. Therefore, the commentary on the Hundred Treatises says that both scripture and worldly fame will cause harm to this. In terms of scripture, the Ten Bhumi Sutra says that the three realms are only mind. The word "only" in the sutra negates them, which is the sutra

This does not mean that the sutra clearly states that it blocks the creator of the world other than the mind, which is similar to Lekden's view. "Whether or not external appearances exist," etc., just as Lekden explains that the sutra does not block the external, but Chandrakirti does not agree, although the sutra says so, it is explained that it is provisional meaning. Therefore, for the "Ten Bhumi Sutra", it is not said that it is provisional meaning, but it is blocked that it is not the meaning of the sutra, but for this quote from the "Lankavatara Sutra", it is not said that it is not the meaning of the sutra, but it is said that the quote is provisional meaning. In the "Mother Sutra", the five skandhas are shown to be empty of self-nature without distinction, and it should be considered as in the "Abhidharma" where the self-characteristics and common characteristics of the five are spoken of at the same time. If we examine the way in which terms are applied to both meaning and consciousness, the meaning of the terms exists, we will find that they are the same. Even so, it is not different to establish them as existing in the conventional truth because of the terms, he thought so. Therefore, to distinguish the difference between existence and non-existence for such things is to go beyond the terms of the world and also beyond the establishment of the ultimate truth, so it is to fall from the two truths. As the "Hundred Treatises" says: "To say one exists and one does not, is neither the true nor the worldly. Therefore, this exists and that does not, cannot be said." The intention of the noble ones is also the same. "What is said about the great elements, etc., is completely contained in consciousness." The meaning of etc. is: form, mind, mental factors, and non-associated formations, etc., are approximated to earth, water, fire, wind, etc. by establishing their own aspects on the consciousness that is aware of themselves. If the aspect is not established, then nothing can be established as existing. Therefore, those things such as earth, water, fire, and wind are included in the category of consciousness, because they are only established by consciousness. When it is directly known that the nature of consciousness is unborn, just as when form ceases, the shadow of form ceases, the various things established by it will also separate and disappear. As explained in my commentary, therefore the sutra does not block the external. There is no fault in not admitting the Alaya consciousness, because like this: karma obtains the result of ripening from the mother for a long time, and produces the result. Karma also destroys itself in its second time.
