There are two kinds of pure conduct, and it is said to be the only one. And, in its commentary, it says: It is said to be the nature of perfect accomplishment, and the other nature is not the object of the two kinds of pure wisdom. It is clearly stated as such. The two wisdoms are the wisdom that purifies the two obscurations. This school believes that this wisdom is self-awareness, and if it is thought that wisdom also becomes an object, then there is no fault in considering the object by relying on which the meaning of suchness is realized. Therefore, such ultimate truth is not unconditioned, and although such ultimate truth is not established, it is not established by convention, but by its own characteristics, and this does not contradict this school. In the Essence of Wisdom, it is said: "Liberated from the grasped and the grasper, there is the meaning of pure consciousness. It is known in the treatises of the Yogacara school, which has gone beyond the ocean of intelligence." What is said also refers to the previous way of existence of ultimate truth. In many Madhyamaka treatises, when arguing with the Yogacara school, the argument about the existence or non-existence of other-dependence is not made from the standpoint of convention, but from the existence or non-existence of ultimate truth, so those two ultimate truths must be clearly distinguished. In the treatises of the master brothers, the establishment of ultimate truth often relies on the latter aspect. The way in which the first two natures exist conventionally is: In the Compendium, it is said: "The reason and the conceptualization are the reasons for conventional existence: because they arouse all afflictions and are the basis of imputation." The first of these is: In the Explanation of Intent, it is said: "If the pure object of focus is led as an example of what is said to be ultimate truth, then it is established as conventionally existent by the meaning of arousing all afflictions by what is focused on, which is in accordance with the Compendium." The second is: The nature imputed by the names and terms of convention, and because it becomes the basis of the characteristics of applying convention, it is called conventional existence. Constant characteristics refer to things that have become the place of expression. In the Discrimination of the Middle and the Extremes, it is also said: "Considering that the consciousness of worldly people is the object of delusion, and the object of transcendental wisdom, these two truths are said to be conventional truth and ultimate truth."

The truth of. What is said is conventional, so the truth to be understood by it is the conventional truth, that is, what the expression applies to. For example, a step to be crossed by foot is called a foot step, and a step to be crossed by boat is called a boat step. Thus it is said. In the Compendium, it is said that the noble wisdom of equanimity that realizes suchness exists in the ultimate sense, and it refers to the absence of the first two reasons for establishing it as existing in the conventional sense. The wisdom attained after that is said to exist in both the conventional and ultimate senses. From the point of view of focusing on the characteristics of terminology, it is said to exist in terminology. Since it has become the basis for applying terminology and is the object that arouses all defilements, its existence in the conventional sense does not contradict its existence in the ultimate sense, which is established by its own characteristics. In the Explanation of Reasoning, it is said: The Hearer Sect says that in the ultimate truth, emptiness, karma and its maturation exist, but the agent is not visible. If that is the ultimate truth, then how can all phenomena be without self-nature? If it is conventional, then there is an agent there, so it is not visible. When asked how to say it, the answer is that if you know which is the conventional truth and which is the ultimate truth, then you know in which of the two it exists, so ask which of the two it is. If the answer is that names, expressions, designations, and terminologies are conventional truths, and the self-nature of all phenomena is the ultimate truth. Then, if that is the case, both karma and its maturation exist in name and also in self-nature, so how the two exist depends on how you think. Thus it is said that the way of existing in the ultimate truth is like the former, and the way of existing in the conventional truth is like the latter, which means that both of them exist. Although it is believed that it exists in the ultimate truth, it is said that all phenomena are without self-nature in the ultimate truth, because it is not understood literally, so this does not contradict the former. A person exists in the conventional truth, but is not substantial. Karma and its maturation exist in the conventional truth and are also substantial, and are the objects of worldly knowledge, so they do not exist in the ultimate truth of the second way of establishment, and the two are not the objects of transcendental knowledge, because their object is the inexpressible general.
