Adornment, discrimination, true wisdom, and suchness, etc., do not belong to any of the five, therefore it is self-naturelessness, this is the previous view. In the Compendium, it is said that it does not belong to these five. There, it is said to be in accordance with or not in accordance with the name, it is said to be the basis of imputation of the completely imputed, and since the completely imputed does not exist in things, it is not the four dharmas, it is only a conceptual imputation, therefore it is not suchness either. In the Middle Way, it is said that name is completely imputed, which refers to the meaning established by name, not the self-nature of the name, this is the explanation of Blo-brtan. There, saying that the reason is other-powered, is also considering the reason of the aggregate of actions, even if it is not assembled, it is also said in the Compendium. Therefore, although it is self-naturelessness for the reason of not belonging to the five dharmas, not belonging there is not the meaning of self-naturelessness. In the conventional, there are also many faults mentioned in the scriptures about its self-nature, self, and its own self-nature, etc., and in the treatises of the Acarya there are also many about not being established by its own self-nature, not being produced by self-nature, and not being established as substance, etc., although it seems difficult to distinguish, but the meaning of the existence or non-existence of self-nature mentioned in the Commentary is the clearest basis for the Acarya's view that things are established by their own self-nature in the conventional. Therefore, do not think that persons and dharmas do not have the self-nature of being established by their own self-nature, but think that the two selflessnesses are complete with self-nature, and what kind of establishment by one's own self-nature will be negated in order to establish the object to be negated as the two selflessnesses, this will be explained. Furthermore, in the Lamp of Wisdom, it is said that if in any way, the things imputed by those two do not exist, for example, the thought of a snake on a rope, then the completely imputed is not non-existent, because there, due to the similarity of shape, the wisdom is confused, although there is no meaning of the completely imputed, but in the conventional, for the coiled snake, it is not non-existent. Saying that the completely imputed is not the establisher, but the imputed meaning imputed by name and discrimination by any child, and it does not have self-nature, if it is said that it is like imputing a snake on a rope, then this metaphor is inappropriate.

Refutation is declared. Its meaning is that, for forms and so on, it is unreasonable to establish the meaning of "this is this" as the essence and difference, as an example of the absence of self-nature, thinking that a rope is a snake, and that the established meaning does not exist. Because, the opponent would say that although the meaning of thinking that a rope is a snake does not exist, just as the meaning of thinking that a coiled snake is a snake exists in the conventional, although the object of thinking that form is feeling does not exist, the object of thinking that form is form exists in the conventional. Here, existence and non-existence refer to the existence and non-existence of self-nature, so for forms and so on, the object established as essence and difference is not without self-nature in the conventional. If a coiled snake is not a snake in the conventional, then it will be harmed by fame, that is, if the object of thinking that a coiled snake is a snake does not exist in the conventional. If one refutes things from the ultimate truth, then it is said to be a substance of the Madhyamaka school. That is, if one establishes from the ultimate truth that the object of thinking that a coiled snake is a snake is without self-nature, then it will become the view of the Madhyamaka school. Therefore, the "Lamp of Wisdom" says that if one wants to show that the imputed nature of the imputed object of thought on essence and difference is without self-nature, then one should accept the reasoning of the Madhyamaka. Reasoning is what is said in the "Root Wisdom Treatise": What is said is reversed, the object of mind is reversed, unborn and unceasing, the nature of Dharma is the same as Nirvana. That is, thinking that a swollen belly is a vase, it is not necessary to say that the reasoning of the Madhyamaka is needed to prevent the establishment of the object established by name in the ultimate truth. Because the "Flame of Reasoning" says that even the dumb and deaf do not understand names, they can understand the meaning of vases and so on, and cows and so on can distinguish their own and others' children from smell and color, so the establishment of names is not the reality of things, which is the same for both the Yogacara and Madhyamaka schools. Therefore, the object of attachment to "this is form, this is the arising of form" and so on is the meaning established by it. Moreover, because it exists by its own nature in the conventional, it is not without self-nature, therefore in the ultimate truth
