Clinging to this Dharma is not for humans, Knowing it is difficult to fathom, The Sugata's mind, regarding teaching the Dharma, Completely turned away, just like that. Thus it is said, if it were like the first established custom, it would not be so difficult. Therefore, the term 'therefore' refers to how clinging to that method with wrong views leads to ruin, and it is also said to be difficult to understand because one does not possess supreme intelligence. Therefore, strive to abandon both the words and meaning of this method, and abandon nihilistic views that have no basis for negation, cause and effect, etc., and understand the meaning of that very reality. Thus it is said. In the Ratnavali it says: Likewise, clinging to wrong views, One will surely obtain ruin, By knowing well, one obtains happiness, And the unsurpassed Bodhi. Therefore, abandon this, And having abandoned nihilistic views, In order to accomplish all meanings, Make diligence in right view the supreme. Thus it is said. When the teacher explains the profound meaning of the scriptures, he speaks of many kinds of reasoning, and one should understand the others as branches of understanding this, and one should study the meaning of Madhyamaka. This method of reasoning has been explained many times elsewhere, and since I also want to do a commentary on the Root Wisdom, I will not elaborate further here. The second is: The main follower of this teacher is the teacher Aryadeva. He extensively explained the teacher's tradition in the Four Hundred Verses on Yoga Practice. Buddhapalita, Bhavaviveka, Chandrakirti, and Shantarakshita, etc., the great Madhyamaka masters, also regard him as a reliable source, just like the teacher. Therefore, as the ancients said, the treatises of the two teachers are called the 'root treatises,' so here I will explain the way of following the father and son Aryadeva and explaining their intentions. Although there are many wise masters such as the teacher Vira and Nagarjuna Bodhi, etc., since no translations of the Madhyamaka treatises explained by these teachers have been found, I will explain the particularly different views of the other existing treatises. There are two aspects to this: How the Svatantrika Madhyamaka explains Aryadeva's treatises, and how the Prasangika Madhyamaka explains Aryadeva's treatises. The first aspect has two: How the teacher Bhavaviveka

Explanation and how Śāntarakṣita and his son explained it. The first part has three points: how to explain whether or not the person and dharma have inherent existence from the ultimate truth perspective, how to explain whether or not external objects exist from the conventional truth perspective, and to point out what the main reasoning for negating existence in the ultimate truth is aimed at. The first point is: among the treatises on Madhyamaka by the masters, the most important is the Root Wisdom Treatise, which has eight self-commentaries, namely, the Fearless Commentary, the Devaśarman Commentary, the Guṇamati, the Guṇaśrī, the Sthiramati, the Buddhapālita, the Leghdenjhe, and the Candrakīrti Commentary. The Leghdenjhe is based on the White Lotus Commentary of Devaśarman, and the silent yogi Avalokiteśvara said this. In the commentary on the twenty-seventh chapter, the Fearless Commentary, the venerable Āryadeva also said: "Listeners and what is heard, speakers are very rare. Therefore, in short, samsara is neither finite nor infinite." Quoting this passage from the Four Hundred Treatises as evidence shows that the self-commentary is meaningless. The Buddhapālita, Leghdenjhe, and Candrakīrti commentaries do not even mention the corner of the commentary, which also illustrates this point. When Leghdenjhe explains the intention of the Holy One, how does he explain the two selflessnesses in the ultimate truth? If you understand how this master establishes the three natures, it will be clear. That is to say, the Prajñāpāramitā Sutra says that if someone says that, here, for the thing called "form," whatever is the nature of the completely imputed, which is conceived in the mind and spoken in words, does not exist, then that is slandering things, because it is slandering what is conceived in the mind and spoken in words. Therefore, if the completely imputed, which says that the completely imputed has no nature, is regarded as the conceptualization and name that impute the entity and difference, then these two belong to the aggregates, therefore they are dependent arisings, and it is said that this is slandering the dependent arising as having no nature, therefore it is believed that the dependent arising has nature. In addition, the Saṃdhinirmocana Sutra says that because it is not established by its own nature, it is said to be without nature, and these are also determining the meaning of that sutra, so it is clear that they believe that the dependent arising has an entity established by its own nature. The Prajñālokālaṃkāra says: The completely imputed is the name and
