Because existence is negated, it is taught that there is no self-nature in the ultimate sense, which is the essence of the sutras. At that time, the "completely imputed is without self-nature" that is explained refers to the object of clinging that is completely imputed in the ultimate sense. The statement that "it is only established by name and convention" means that it is merely a designation by verbal conceptualization. If so, do not think that what is said is that the dependent is without self-nature, and not the completely imputed. Otherwise, in the Yogācāra system, for the dependent nature and the nature that is nominally designated as a difference, if it is not established by its own characteristics, it cannot be said that the completely imputed is without self-nature. Therefore, the essence of form and its arising, etc., are empty in the ultimate sense, which is the essence of the sutras in the perfected nature. To say that it is not the essence of the sutras as explained by the Yogācārins is wrong. Similarly, the statement that the dependent is without self-nature, that is, the arising is without self-nature, the arising without self-nature, this teacher considers it to have the same meaning as the non-self-nature arising and the non-natural arising mentioned in other sutras, and considers this to be the meaning of no arising in the ultimate sense. In this way, natural arising is the arising that is established by its own characteristics, and when it is negated on things, it is necessary to combine the difference of the ultimate truth, so the arising established by its own characteristics is considered to be conventional truth. The Yogācārins also consider that the self-arising and other-arising mentioned in the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra* have the same meaning, and they consider that its non-arising refers to the non-autonomous arising, because without it, there is no need for the ultimate non-arising. If the dependent is truly established, it must be established as it appears, so it is considered unreliable to say in the sutras like an illusion, so explaining it as emptiness of self-nature is the meaning of the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*. Second, now we will explain whether things are considered to be objects or consciousness in conventional truth. Regarding this, the noble father and sons (Asaṅga and Vasubandhu) did not clearly explain by distinguishing the existence or non-existence of external objects in name, but this teacher believes that external objects exist in name, and that sense consciousness does not grasp without object-aspects, but in a way that has object-aspects.

It is considered that the earth-holder and those two are related as cause and effect, earlier and later. In the *Ten Bhumi Sutra*, it says, "The three realms are only mind" in order to prevent other schools from considering the agent of the world other than the mind, which is the meaning of the sutra, therefore it is not preventing the meaning. In the *Lankavatara Sutra*, it says, "External appearances are not existent, like the body and enjoyment and dwelling place, the mind is the appearance of various kinds, therefore I say only mind." Saying this also considers that it is not preventing the external, therefore preventing the external is not the meaning of any sutra, it should be examined. The meaning of the first verse of that text is that the external is not existent from its own nature. Like the meaning of body and enjoyment and dwelling place, the mind arises in various ways, which means arising in the form similar to those things, as explained in the *Prajna Pradipa*. The meaning of only mind is as before. When accumulating forms, sounds, etc., each atom also acts as the objective condition for the sense consciousness, therefore those are not invisible to it. Armies and forests, etc., which rely on different kinds, are aggregates. Although that is not a substance, the similar atoms that rely on one basis are accumulations, and similarly, vases, etc., are also like that, therefore that is a substance. The consciousness that appears as two moons, etc., must also arise relying on one moon as the object, therefore without an external object, it will not arise. If there is no external, it would also become a slander against what is said in the sutras that the sense consciousnesses arise from the objective condition, because in ultimate and conventional, it is not reasonable to arise from the objective condition. Therefore, the alaya consciousness and the individual consciousness are also not accepted, because if it is accepted, even without the external, it must be established that the knower that appears as things arises from the ripening of its habit, therefore accepting the external is meaningless. Therefore, in the *Madhyamaka Heart*, it says, "By the synonym called consciousness, I am definitely shown." If that is not accepted, the afflicted mind is also not established. Again, in that same text, it says, "Other than appearing as an object, how does the mind itself appear?" Thus, the consciousness appears as the aspect of the external object, and not appearing as that aspect, but appearing as the nature of experiencing the grasping aspect, therefore the consciousness itself is self-appearing.
