This indicates that, by introducing and quoting the previously cited sutras, and referring to it with the near-pointing term "this profound Dharma-nature," it is because many Prajna sutras and others were cited before this, and the emptiness of Dharma-non-self was proclaimed. "Because of taming" means speaking according to the thoughts of the one to be tamed, meaning that the previous words were to please children, not just those words alone. If taken literally, it is equivalent to saying that there is a self, the reason being: emptiness, unbornness, non-self, etc., if one considers that these exist by their own nature, and that it is merely the intention to cut off the elaborations of birth and Dharma-self, and not that it is said to have essence, but as it is shown by the literal meaning, then its permanence is also not merely the non-destruction that cuts off the destructible to be refuted, therefore it is not necessary to establish it from the perspective of cutting off the destructible, but like blue and yellow, it will appear as the nature of establishment, It will become permanent. In that case, there is no difference from the way the Tirthikas say the self is permanent, therefore it will become an admission that things are permanent. The harm to this is that the reasoning that other schools want to block permanence is what is said by our own school, both above and below, so they will not admit such a thing either. If one clings to the meaning of permanence, ultimately wanting only the mere cutting off of cutting off, then the cutting off of the elaborations of the two selves is also merely showing the suchness of non-self, and neither of the two non-selves can temporarily serve as a vessel for proclamation, therefore those sutras, as said before, were spoken to avoid fear of non-self and attachment to saying self. Therefore, there are two ways of definitive meaning, one is to temporarily use the commonalities of person-non-self and the grossness of Dharma-non-self as vessels for proclamation, and to gradually guide to the suchness of one's own school, it is very difficult to show harm to the literal meaning of the definitive meaning that is spoken. As mentioned earlier, other schools directly say self or their view of it has been very habitual in previous lives, therefore even the commonalities of person-non-self cannot be fully proclaimed for the time being, and the literal meaning of the definitive meaning spoken to guide the kinds of other schools will bring harm.

Therefore, it is easy to show. Like this, since showing the existence of the essence of permanence, etc., is definitive, then how does the ālaya become definitive? The Ornament of Dense Array says: "The grounds are various, they are the ālaya, the Sugata's essence is also that, the essence is called by the name of ālaya, the Tathāgatas show it thus, the essence is proclaimed as the ālaya, those with attachment will not know." Thus it is said, and in the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra also, the Tathāgatagarbha ālaya-vijñāna is proclaimed, and the ālaya-vijñāna together with the seven vijñānas is said many times as two different names. Moreover, since it is said that one of these two is permanent and the other is impermanent, although it is not shown that the two meanings of the literal meaning become one, but thinking about what the meaning of showing the essence is, considering that meaning, the ālaya is shown, relying on the meaning considered, it is a different name, so the meaning is the same. In this way, since the former is shown as definitive, the latter also becomes definitive. The Commentary on the Entrance says: "Because it follows the nature of all things, it should be understood that only emptiness is shown by the name of ālaya-vijñāna." Candrakīrti's view is like that. Thus, although the meaning considered is the same, the object to be tamed is not the same, for what purpose is the ālaya spoken? Because it is a vessel suitable for showing the common selflessness of persons and the selflessness of phenomena of the two empty of grasper and grasped, because it is an object to be tamed that cannot realize the selflessness of all persons and phenomena, therefore, the Entrance says: "There is ālaya, and there is also a person, only these aggregates, thus this is very profound, not known by that." Thus it is said, and when establishing the ālaya, it is necessary to show that it is empty of external objects. In the Commentary on the Entrance, below the sutra that shows the definitive meaning as before, it quotes, "Great wisdom, this nature of emptiness, unborn, non-dual, and without self-nature, which is contained in the sutras of all Buddhas." This is the source of showing the definitive meaning by distinguishing the difference between the existence and non-existence of the first two natures by their own characteristics, until the inclusion in the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra.
