etc., clinging to things as they appear, as existing in that way, is said to be for the purpose of eliminating the clinging to superimposition and denial of those who do not enter into the ultimate truth. Saying that there is no birth, etc., by blocking the literal meaning, showing that there is no birth or cessation, etc., shows that it is made in the realm of the ultimate truth, and thus it must be admitted that there is birth and cessation, etc., in terms of conventions, thus eliminating denial, etc. Other-powered nature is born by the power of other conditions, and is not born only by its own nature, so it is said that birth is without own-being, and the wise ones think that whatever arises dependently is emptiness of its own nature. As it is said in the Undisturbed Question: 'Whatever is born from conditions is unborn. It does not have the nature of birth.' It is similar to showing that what is born from conditions is not born by its own nature. Therefore, since it arises from causes and conditions, other-powered nature does not necessarily have to exist truly, otherwise, false things such as illusions would also become true entities. Therefore, considering that there is no true existence and that there is no difference from illusions, it is said in the Explanation of Intentions that other-powered nature is like an illusion. Therefore, clinging to impermanence, etc., as existing in the ultimate truth is the completely imputed. Moreover, since it does not establish as it is posited, it is said that the completely imputed is without own-being of characteristics, and this eliminates superimposition. Clinging to other-powered nature as the nature of the completely imputed, and it must be shown that in the nature of the characteristics clung to in that way, other-powered nature does not exist, therefore it is not contradictory to say that other-powered nature is not established in the ultimate truth, and that it is without own-being of characteristics. In the Explanation of Intentions, it is said that the completely imputed is not established by its own characteristics, so it is said to be without own-being of characteristics, and for the other two own-beings, it is not said to be without own-being of characteristics that are not established by their own characteristics, because this school thinks that the other two own-beings are not established in the ultimate truth, which is exactly the meaning of saying that the completely imputed is without own-being of characteristics established by its own characteristics. Because in the ultimate truth, not being established by one's own characteristics is the meaning of without own-being of characteristics, so it is free from superimposition, and in conventions, there is the nature of characteristics established by one's own characteristics, so it is very clear to refute denial. Therefore, other-powered nature itself

If it is not established by its own nature, then it becomes a slander of cause and effect, which is similar to the Yogacara school, but the difference is that this school says that it is not established by its own nature in the ultimate sense, while the Yogacara school says that if it is established by its own nature, then it must exist in the ultimate sense. In the "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra," it is said that for things like form, the nature and differences that are established in the way of "this is this," these phenomena of other-dependence, because they are not established by their own nature, are made empty of other-dependence by the imagined. The view of this school is also like the skillful wisdom, regarding the object of attachment as the same as what was said before. Furthermore, in the "Madhyamaka-aloka," it is said that some sutras say that all phenomena are without self-nature, unborn, etc., which is provisional meaning. In the "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra" and others, in order to answer the question of "the intention of the meaning of the sutra has been explained," it is said, "Therefore, explaining the intention will not contradict the definitive meaning." Therefore, in order to prove that explaining the unborn etc. is definitive meaning, and in order to avoid contradiction with what is seen etc., and in order to eliminate understanding according to the literal meaning, in the noble "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra," it is said that because it is considering the ultimate selflessness of phenomena without self-nature, it is said to be unborn etc. The reason for saying "Therefore" is that the "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra" says that the ultimate is also, and the phenomena are also distinguished by being without self-nature, therefore, because it is said that the ultimate is without self-nature, all phenomena are without self-nature. This explains that the "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra" explains the intention of saying without self-nature etc., thereby preventing clinging to the literal meaning and proving it to be definitive meaning. The Madhyamaka school admits the unborn etc. in the ultimate sense, and admits the birth etc. in the conventional sense, therefore, because it is said that one should not cling to the literal meaning of explaining the unborn etc., the view that clinging to the complete non-existence of birth and cessation etc. is clinging to the literal meaning, while thinking that these do not exist in the ultimate sense is not clinging to the literal meaning. If that is the case, then the second turning of the wheel of Dharma, which is said to be without self-nature and unborn etc., is provisional meaning, which is contradictory, because this sutra considers these to be definitive meaning.
