If it is thought to be established in this way, it is not a matter of wonder, since it is the custom of one's own teacher, but if one acknowledges dependent arising, which arises and originates from causes and conditions, and then thinks that it is established as true, that is most laughable. As it says in the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning": If those who say that things exist, cling to the ultimate of entities and abide, that is the very path on which they abide, and there is nothing even slightly amazing about that. But those who, relying on the path of the Buddha, speak of impermanence for all, and then cling to the ultimate of entities through disputation and abide, that is what is amazing. This shows that it is laughable to think that one cannot posit characteristics such as arising and ceasing for things that are not truly existent and do not exist by their own nature. This dependent arising, which is free from permanence and annihilation, is extremely difficult to understand, so the Teacher also thought, "If I show others the profound Dharma that I have understood, they will not understand it, so I will remain silent." As it says in the Root Wisdom: Therefore, knowing that this Dharma is difficult for people to fathom because of their attachment, the Sage's mind turned away from teaching the Dharma. If it were like the first time a tradition was started, it would not be so difficult. "Therefore" means that clinging to that way in a wrong way will destroy one, and it is also said to be difficult to understand because one does not have supreme intelligence. Therefore, one should abandon the view of non-existence, which has no place for the words and meanings of this way, and for abandoning meaning and cause and effect, and strive to know the meaning of Suchness. As it says in the Precious Garland: Likewise, clinging to it in the wrong way will bring about destruction, and understanding it well will bring about happiness and unsurpassed enlightenment. Therefore, one should abandon abandonment and the view of non-existence, and for the sake of accomplishing all meanings, one should make the utmost effort to have correct knowledge. The Teacher has spoken of many kinds of reasoning in explaining the profound meaning of the scriptures, and one should understand the other kinds of reasoning as branches of understanding this, and one should study the meaning of the Middle Way. This way of reasoning has already been explained many times elsewhere, and I also want to do a commentary on the Root Wisdom, so I will not elaborate on it here. Secondly, the main follower of this teacher is the teacher.

It is Aryadeva. He extensively explained the tradition of the teacher in the Four Hundred Verses on Yoga Practice. The great Madhyamikas such as Buddhapalita, Bhavaviveka, Chandrakirti, and Shantarakshita also regarded him as a source of faith, just like the teacher. Therefore, as the ancients said that the treatises of both the teacher and the disciple are the fundamental texts, here I will explain how to follow Aryadeva and his son and explain their intentions. Moreover, although there are many great scholars such as the teacher Virya and Nagarjuna Bodhi, However, since the translations of the Madhyamika treatises explained by these people do not appear, I will explain the particularly important tenets of other existing treatises. There are two aspects to this: how the Svatantrika Madhyamika explains Aryadeva's treatises, and how the Prasangika Madhyamika explains Aryadeva's treatises. The first has two aspects: how the teacher Bhavaviveka explains it, and how Shantarakshita and his son explain it. The first has three aspects: how to explain whether or not persons and dharmas have intrinsic existence in the ultimate sense, how to explain whether or not external objects exist in the conventional sense, and to point out what is the main reasoning used to refute existence in the ultimate sense. The first is: The most important of the teacher's Madhyamika treatises is the Root Wisdom Treatise. There are eight self-commentaries on it, namely, the Fearless Commentary, the Deva Sharma Commentary, Guṇamati, Guṇaśrī, Sthiramati, Buddhapalita, Bhavaviveka, and Chandrakirti's commentaries. Bhavaviveka is said to have followed the white manifestation of the Deva Sharma Commentary, as explained by Avalokiteśvara the Ascetic. In the commentary on the twenty-seventh chapter, the Fearless Commentary, the venerable Aryadeva also said: "Listeners and what is heard, speakers are very rare. Therefore, in short, samsara is not finite, nor is it infinite." Quoting the sutra of the Four Hundred Verses as evidence, it shows that there is no meaning of self-commentary. The commentaries of Buddhapalita, Bhavaviveka, and Chandrakirti do not even have a corner of the commentary, which also proves this. How Bhavaviveka explains Aryadeva's intention, how to explain the two selflessnesses in the ultimate sense
