Therefore, in order to refute the slander against all, (the sutra) says, "The unreal parikalpita exists." This means that "svabhāva" is the remainder of the sentence. What is said is that the word "parikalpita exists" is not complete in itself, so it is necessary to supplement its remainder, which is "svabhāva." In this way, it is not just that the parikalpita exists, but that it exists by its own nature, or that it exists established by its own characteristics. These modes of existence are also similar to the pariniṣpanna. The way in which the second sentence dispels doubt is also stated in the same sutra: "If this is the case, does it not contradict the sutra which states that all dharmas are empty?" The answer is: "It does not contradict, it is like this. Because in that, the two do not exist. The unreal parikalpita, being devoid of the nature of grasper and grasped, is empty, but it is not that there is no svabhāva called emptiness, therefore it does not contradict the sutra." If other-powered is established by its own nature, then all dharmas are existent by their own nature, so it contradicts the statement that they are empty. As a response to this, the parikalpita, which appears as the external grasped and the internal grasper, appearing as completely separate grasper and grasped, (the sutra) considers that the nature that exists in this way is empty, so it is said to be empty of svabhāva, but it is not that there is no svabhāva established by its own characteristics. Therefore, the meaning of the treatises of the (Asaṅga and Vasubandhu) brothers is just like this, and it is also said that it exists in the ultimate truth, therefore, in this view, it is definitely not the case that other-powered is explained as self-empty. The way in which the third sentence dispels doubt is also stated in the same sutra: "If this is the case, if the two are completely non-existent like a rabbit's horn, and the unreal parikalpita exists by its own nature in the ultimate truth, then in that case, emptiness will not exist." The answer is: "It is not like that, it is like this. Because emptiness exists in this. In the unreal parikalpita, the non-existence of grasper and grasped, that is emptiness, so emptiness will not not exist." The parikalpita exists and the two do not exist, indicating that existence is prior and non-existence is later, thereby dispelling the doubt that emptiness does not exist. The argument that if the parikalpita exists by its own nature in the ultimate truth, is to raise the idea that if it is established by its own characteristics, it will be considered to exist in the ultimate truth. The answer does not say that it does not acknowledge that, but says that that
