It should be understood that this is the extreme of imputation, and the extreme of denigration is to say that for things that exist as the nature of other and the perfected nature, to say that they do not exist, this is denigrating one's own nature. In this way, by abandoning the two extremes, one should comprehend the meaning of that very thing. To say that the two extreme natures exist by their own nature, but to say that it is not established there, this is said to be denigrating one's own nature. The Bodhisattva-bhumi and these two are the same in terms of the extremes of imputation and denigration and the way to abandon them. The completely imputed is also truly existent, but it is not non-existent in conventional terms. In the Compendium it says: "Those manifest discriminations, by what name and manifest expression are they established? Should it be said that it is their nature, or should it be said that it is not their nature?" It is said: "In conventional terms, it should be said that it is their nature. In ultimate terms, it should be said that it is not their nature." And: "For the object of consciousness that relies on names that are completely accustomed to expression, which is the nature of the completely imputed, it is like this, it is an imputed existence, and not existent in ultimate truth." Therefore, like the completely imputed of the two selves, it is impossible in the knowable, but just because of that, not all completely imputed are impossible, so one should negate substantial existence and ultimate existence, and establish imputed existence and conventional existence. Therefore, in some commentaries on the Explication of the Thought Sutra, it is said that the completely imputed does not exist in either of the two truths, and the dependent arising of the two, the grasper and the grasped, is like a magic trick, existing in conventional truth. And the perfectly established is also ultimate truth, and exists in the way of being without nature, it is existent in ultimate truth. This explanation is not the intention of that sutra. In the Summary of the Great Vehicle, the Explication of the Thought Sutra is quoted to establish that external objects do not exist, and then it is said that the inner and outer grasper and grasped are completely imputed, which is contradictory. And it also contradicts the Bodhisattva-bhumi and the Compendium, and there the quote from the Establishment of Consciousness-only is also cited. Some say that it was composed by Asanga, which is a great lack of investigation. In the Compendium, except for the introductory chapter of the Explication of the Thought Sutra, most of the remaining chapters are quoted, and the difficult points are well explained.

It has been determined, so it does not seem necessary for this teacher to make a separate explanation. Some later people think that the first nature does not exist even in name, the second nature exists in name but does not exist in ultimate reality, and the third nature exists in ultimate reality. This explanation is the view of the brothers Asanga and Vasubandhu, but it has also deviated from this system. In particular, it is thought that dependent origination exists in name, but due to wrong ideas, it is only attached to the fact that it has arising and ceasing, etc., and it is thought that things do not have arising and ceasing, etc. This is the ultimate slander of dependent origination. For this reason, the other two natures are also slandered. Therefore, the slander of the three natures is the main source of nihilistic views, which has been said in the previous Bodhisattva-bhumi. Know that the view that the Samdhinirmocana Sutra is of definitive meaning is an unavoidable contradiction. The second point is, if, as stated in the Bodhisattva-bhumi and the Compendium of Determinations, dependent origination exists in ultimate reality, then according to the Samdhinirmocana Sutra: Just as the eightfold noble path is different in nature from each other, if the suchness ultimate reality of these dharmas, that is, the selflessness of dharmas, is also different in nature, then the suchness ultimate reality, that is, the selflessness of dharmas, will also be with cause. If it is born from cause, then it will be fabricated. If it is fabricated, then it will not be ultimate reality. The sutra says that if it is fabricated, it is not ultimate reality. In addition, the Madhyantavibhaga says: The meaning of ultimate reality is unique. Its explanation also says: The ultimate truth should be understood as the unique nature of the perfectly established reality. In addition, the Sutra Ornament says: Neither existent nor nonexistent, nor like that, nor different, no birth and death, no increase or decrease, neither impure nor purified, that is the characteristic of ultimate reality. When explaining that the ultimate truth has five characteristics, it is said that there is no birth and death, The explanation also says that it does not exist by the nature of the completely imputed and dependent origination, nor does it not exist by the nature of the perfectly established reality. In addition, the Compendium of Determinations also says: Should it be said that the reason exists in conventional truth or in ultimate truth? The answer is, it should be said that it exists in conventional truth
