Moreover, all that is knowable and expressible should not be grasped as conventional truth. Among them, the conventionality that establishes forms and so on as true from the perspective of which conventionality is the first of the three. That is, it is ignorance that imputes existence to phenomena that do not inherently exist by their own nature. Since it is impossible to truly exist in reality, establishing it as true is only in the mind. Moreover, it cannot be established as true in the mind that does not grasp at truth. As it says in the Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds: Ignorance obscures reality, and is called conventional. That which appears as false but true, the Buddha called conventional truth; all that is false is conventional. Here, the commentary on Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds says: Thus, for the time being, the conventional truth is established by the power of afflicted ignorance, which is completely gathered by the limbs of existence. That is, the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas who have abandoned afflicted ignorance see actions, images, and so on as being similar to existence itself. For them, it is a false nature, not the truth, because there is no presumption of appearing as true. For children, it is deceptive. For others, it becomes merely conventional due to dependent arising, like illusions and so on. Therefore, those who establish the existence of conventional truth establish it with ignorance. Moreover, it does not mean that the conventional truth is not established in the perspective of Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas who have abandoned afflicted ignorance. The first reason for this is that, as mentioned earlier, afflicted ignorance is the grasping of truth, so the object grasped by it cannot exist even nominally. Moreover, if it is conventional truth, then it must exist nominally. Therefore, if it is said that phenomena exist conventionally, then the conventionality that is the place of establishment must not be the conventionality created by afflicted ignorance. The second reason is that for those who have abandoned the conventionality of afflicted ignorance, actions and so on are not true in their eyes because there is no conventionality of grasping at truth from the perspective of which they are established as true.

Because it is established, it is established because it is not not the conventional truth. Therefore, in their presence, all actions are said to be merely conventional, because in that presence, it is impossible to establish truth among the two, conventional and truth. The tone of merely is to cut off the truth, but not to cut off the conventional truth, therefore, the intention of saying merely conventional and conventional truth should be understood as such. In the Commentary on the Clear Words, it is said: "What is true in the conventional of the world is the conventional truth of the world." This is said in the Commentary on Entering: "By convention, whatever appears to be true, and although it is without self-nature, it appears separately as self-nature, that is true in the conventional of the world's upside-down, that is, the conventional truth of the world." As mentioned earlier, the conventional of ignorance is clear as truth in that presence, it should be done like that, and it should not be done as established as truth in name, otherwise, it is contrary to the reason that it is impossible to establish by its own nature even in name, and because the cessation of true establishment and the establishment of non-truth are done in name. In this way, it should also be understood that the scholar Yeshe Nyingpo said that dwelling in the conventional is true. If you think, will Dharma nature and I become conventional truth because both are true in the presence of real clinging conventional? If it is only true in the presence of real clinging conventional, it will be established as conventional truth, it will become like that, but it is not said like that. The truth of the conventional truth is only the conventional in front of which the conventional is true, and the way of explaining the truth in front of it. Second, each of these external and internal things has two natures, ultimate and conventional. That is also, for example, in the case of a seedling, the nature of the seedling obtained by the intellect that sees the only true thing, and the nature of the seedling obtained by the nominal consciousness that measures the deceptive false thing. The former is the nature of the ultimate truth of the seedling, and the latter is the nature of the conventional truth of the seedling. Like that It is also said in Entering: "By seeing the true and the false, one grasps the two natures of the object. Whatever sees the true realm, that is the truth."
