It is like this. If, with that key point, the meditation on emptiness like the sky, without even a mote of focus on conceptual grasping in equipoise, becomes the key point, then when rising from that and looking at the appearance of objects, in the post-meditation, emptiness like an illusion will appear. Similarly, after examining extensively with reasoning that investigates whether or not phenomena are established by their own nature, and after generating a strong conviction in the absence of inherent existence, when looking at the arising appearances, they will appear like an illusion. There is no way to separately establish emptiness like an illusion. Therefore, when engaging in activities such as circumambulation, one should also, as before, make sure to have a firm grasp of the certainty gained through investigation, and then engage in those activities, training to appear like an illusion, and doing those activities in that state. If one becomes accustomed to this, then even just remembering the view, those things will appear like an illusion. To explain the method of seeking that certainty in an easy-to-understand way, as explained before, first let the general object of negation by reasoning appear clearly, and then carefully consider how one's own ignorance imputes inherent existence, and make sure to recognize it. Then, if such a nature existed, it would not go beyond being either one or different, and carefully consider the ways in which there are faults in accepting both of those, thereby drawing the certainty of seeing the faults. Finally, one should firmly believe that there is not even a mote of inherent existence in a person, and practice extensively in the direction of emptiness like this. Then, let the appearances of the undeniable conventions of a person appear in the field of consciousness, and remember the aspects of dependent origination from which the accumulator and the one who experiences the results are established, and gain certainty in the ways in which dependent origination is reasonable without inherent existence. When those two appear contradictory, take examples such as reflections and think about the ways in which they are not contradictory. Like this, the reflection of a face, wherever it appears in the eyes, ears, etc., is empty, but arises in dependence on the face and the mirror, and when some of those conditions disappear, it also disappears, and these two undeniably exist on the same basis. In the same way, even though there is not even a mote of inherent existence in a person, it is not contradictory that the accumulator of actions and the one who experiences the results, and arising in dependence on previous actions and afflictions, etc., should also arise. One should practice like this. Like this.

In all such cases, it should be understood. The second point is: the five aggregates as the basis for designating a person, the six elements such as the earth element, and the six sense sources such as the eye, etc., are dharmas. The emptiness of those dharmas, which are empty of inherent existence established by their own nature, is the selflessness of those dharmas. There are two ways to ascertain it: one is to refute by applying the reasoning previously stated, and the other is to refute by other reasoning not previously stated. The first is: among the real entities of aggregates, elements, and sense sources, there are two types. For form, it is the parts of its own directions such as east, and the whole possessing those parts. For consciousness, it is the parts of its own times such as before and after, and the whole possessing those parts. Examine whether the one or the many, established by its own nature, is established in any way, and then refute it as before. This is, as you said, "Just as your understanding of self, apply that understanding to all with your mind." This is the meaning of the sutra quoted earlier. The second has two aspects: one is to show the reason of dependent origination, and the other is how to establish the absence of truth even if it is not combined with the previous reasoning. The first is: the reason of dependent origination is, as stated in the Sutra Requested by Sagacious Ocean, "Whatever arises dependently, those are without inherent existence." It clearly states that the establishment of inherent existence is refuted by the sign of dependent origination. Also, in the Sutra Requested by Anavatapta, it is said, "Whatever is born from conditions is unborn. For it, there is no birth by its own nature. Whatever depends on conditions is empty. Whoever knows emptiness is mindful." It clearly states this. This is very common in the precious scriptures. Furthermore, the meaning of the first line saying "unborn" is that the second line says "there is no birth by its own nature," thus, when negating birth, the distinction of what is to be negated is added. In the Lankavatara Sutra, it is said, "Considering the unborn by its own nature, I said that all dharmas are unborn." As quoted in the Clear Words, those who say that there is no birth without adding a distinction may suspect that all births are non-existent. Therefore, the Teacher himself understood the intention of the sutras and explained it as the meaning of no birth by its own nature. Then, the third line says that it relies on conditions and depends.
