Therefore, it is very reasonable that Master Yeshe De prohibited forced meditation. Because Samadhi is not practiced through consciousness, but through mind. Therefore, the real object of Samadhi is the real object of mind, so it must be focused on. As mentioned earlier, one must focus on the general meaning of the real object or the image that appears. The two parts of the body, coarse and fine, must first focus on the coarse part, and after stabilizing on it, then focus on the fine part, which is said from other aspects. From experience, the coarse part is very easy to appear, so the coarse order of the body must be used as the basis for focus. In particular, if one practices without achieving a complete Samatha-vipassana, then one should not move to many different types of objects. If one constantly moves to many different objects to practice Samadhi, it will become a huge obstacle to achieving Samatha-vipassana. As Arya Hero said: When stable on one object, the mind's thought should be stable. Because of the flow of many objects, the mind is disturbed by afflictions. In addition, the Lamp for the Path also says: On any one object, the mind should abide in virtue. The word "one" is used as a definite word. Therefore, the standard for initially obtaining the object of focus is: the head, the two hands, the other parts of the body, and the two feet, visualize clearly several times in order. Finally, when the body is visualized as a whole, if about half of the coarse limbs can appear in the mind, even if there is no light, one should be satisfied with this and focus on it. Like this, if one is satisfied with this and does not focus on it, but wants something clearer than this, and visualizes it clearly again and again, then the object will become clear, but one will not obtain stable Samadhi, but will become an obstacle to obtaining Samadhi. Even if the object is not very clear, if one focuses on about half of the object, then one will quickly obtain Samadhi, and from then on, by improving the clarity, the clear part will be easily achieved. This comes from the teachings of Master Yeshe De and is very important. That is, according to the degree of appearance, focus on the whole body, and if some parts of the body appear clearly, then focus on it. If it becomes unclear, then still focus on the whole.

la gzung ngo. At that time, if one wishes to meditate on yellow, but red appears, etc., colors; if one wishes to meditate on a seated posture, but a standing posture appears, etc., shapes; if one wishes to meditate on one, but two appear, etc., numbers; if one wishes to meditate on large, but small appears, like this, when size is uncertain, one should not follow those, but whatever the root object is, one should take that as the object of focus. If it is the time to practice the deity yoga of secret mantra, one must clearly practice the form of the deity, and before that appears, one must generate it by various methods. But here, if it is difficult to manifest the form of the deity, one can also practice samadhi by placing one of the previously shown objects, or just placing it on the view of determining the nature itself, and grasping the mind, because the main purpose is to achieve tranquility. Second, there are three: establishing the faultless rules, refuting the faulty rules, and showing the measure of the sessions. First, the samadhi to be practiced here has two special characteristics, namely: the mind has the power of very clear clarity, and it has the aspect of non-conceptual abiding that abides single-pointedly on the object. Some add bliss to this and make it three, while others add lucidity and make it four, but there are two kinds of lucidity: the lucidity of the object, which means that even when a spotless glass vessel is filled with spotless water and illuminated by cloudless sunlight, one feels lucidity; and when the images of objects such as pillars appear, one feels that one can count those fine particles until they reach the finest particles. Those two also arise from cutting off subtle sinking and generating and maintaining the power of clarity, so there is no need to explain them separately from the beginning. And the joy and bliss of feeling peaceful, although in this case it will arise as the fruit of the samadhi to be practiced, it will not arise simultaneously with the samadhi included in the approximation of the first dhyana, so it is not counted here. When such power of clarity arises, it is obstructed by sinking; and single-pointed non-discrimination is obstructed by excitement, so the reason why sinking and excitement are the main obstacles to achieving pure samadhi lies in this. Therefore, sinking
